Unit5 Fun Facts 教学设计一、教学目标和要求Fun Facts的教学目标主要包括以下几方面：一是复习巩固本单元语目；二是通过实际的阅读过程，逐步培养学生的阅读兴趣，提高英语阅读技能；三是开阔学生的视野，提高多元文化理解力和综合人文素养。

二、教学建议1. 读前活动。
学生对感恩节有的熟悉有的可能不了解。
教师可以把教材中的火鸡插图作为引子，提问学生见没见过火鸡、吃没出过火鸡。
然后接着问大家知不知道火鸡是美国哪个节日大家必吃的节日食品。
通过问题引起学生阅的兴趣。
2. 读中活动。
教师提出几个问题。
一般的顺序应该是先易后难、先主旨大意类后细节类。
学生弄清楚问题后，开始独立阅读。
这时，教师应重点关注那些基础稍差的学生，随时鼓励、引导，辅导解答语言问题。
最后师生讨论Thinking tasks 中的问题。
本单元阅读内容的生词较多，如有必要，在学生阅读时，教师可以将部分生词和汉语意思写在黑板上供学生参考。
3. 读后活动。
阅读后的小结也很重要，落实得好，有利于提高阅读教学的整体效果。
读后的小结活动一是针对阅读内容，教师(或请能力较强的学生)简要总结文段主旨大意和部分重要细节；二是针对语言和阅读技能。
小结之后教师可以回答(或学生讨论)个别学生阅读过程中遇到的语言问题或其他理解问题。
当学生有问题时，教师不必急于解释讲解，可以先引导其他同学进行帮助。

通过讨论和回答学生的问题，落实阅读教学培养兴趣、提高技能、开阔视野、提高素养的目标。
最后，再让学生安静地、完整地读一遍短文。

本部分继续学习月份和节日，本课介绍的是9月、10月以及教师节、国庆节等节日。
主要目标语言：
September is the ninth month of the year.
October is the tenth month of the year.
They are celebrating Teachers’ Day.
China’s National Day is on October 1st.
二、课前准备
1. 准备教师节、国庆节的照片、宣传画或视频。
2. 准备词语卡片、图片、教学挂图及教师自制的课件。
3. 课前收集一些有关于教师节、国庆节的相关资料。
三、教学步骤与建议
1. 热身/复习(Warm-up / Revision)
1) 复习1-8月的英文说法。
2) 复习1-8月中学过的节日的英文说法。
2. 新课呈现(Presentation)
1) 问学生是否记得教师节的日期。
学生回答后，教师板书Teachers’Day和September。
2) 教授新单词September，可以根据该单词的发音规律进行教授，为后面October 的学习奠定基础。
3) 教师问学生When is Teachers’ Day?学生用英语或者汉语回答都可以。
4) 教师板书句子并教读September is the ninth month of the year. Teachers’ Day is on September 10th.等句子。
5) 播放课文第一段的视频，在学生观看前教师提出问题：What do students do on Teachers’ Day?
6) 学生观看后找到答案：The students give their teachers flowers to show their love.
7) 播放第一段录音，请学生跟读。

2) “幸运号码”。
教师在课件上展示数字1-10，数字后面有的是视频，要求学生观看视频后回答以下问题：Which festival is it? When is it? What do people do?有的是跟月份相关的问题，有的则是得分。
每组派一人来选择，选择后要完成相应任务并得分，选中幸运数字的小组则可以直接得分。
4. 语言运用(Language use)
请学生写一篇有关My Favourite Month的小作文。
语言支持：
There are twelve months in a year. My favourite month is August. I can have my summer holidays. I always play with my friends. I can go travelling with my parents. People’s Liberation Army Day is on August 1st.
5. 课堂评价(Assessment)
