本节课的重点是让学生学会怎样提出邀请、接受邀请和拒绝邀请并说明理由。
主要学习内容从1a到2c。
1a-1c 为本单元的导入部分,通过邀请别人参加聚会的图文集听力活动导入单元话题,要求学生掌握prepare for an exam等短语,学会使用Can you come to …? Sure,I’d love to./Sorry,I can’t.I have to/must…等句型进行有效交际。
1b听力加深对重点句型和短语的认知,1c结合主题图内容展问答活动,完成简单的语言输出。
2a-2c听说教学巩固拓展了1a-1c的语言输入,增加了I’m not free/I’m not available./I’m afraid not.等委婉拒绝的表达方式,拓展了关于邀请的内容,使交际更真实,同时丰富了地道的口语表达。
通过学生自主完成每一个教学环节活动,学习掌握本节课的语言知识,不断增强学习效果,提高综合运用语言的能力。
(2)教学目标知识目标:邀请他人参加某个活动所需要的表达方式,能对邀请作出肯定与否定回答,并说明理由。
能力目标:学会用英语向别人发出邀请。

(3)教学重点与难点重点:掌握邀请他人参加某项活动的表达方式,能作出肯定与否定的回答,并说明理由。
难点:对别人所做的邀请进行多种得体的回答;听力理解。
二、学情分析八年级的学生对情态动词can的用法以及举办party 邀请别人都有所了解,同时对学习用英语发出邀请充满期待和热情,教师应根据学生的认知基础和心理特点进行科学的教学设计。
