The snow was heavy and it covered everything. The police arrived at once and took them to hospital. Luckily, they were not hurt. What about London? Do you have snowstorms there? Please e-mail me soon. However, these days more people have them in their hands, even high school students. It is true that mobile phones can be very useful. They are an easy way to keep in touch with friends and family members anywhere and at any time. But we also hear mobile phones ring in places like classrooms, cinemas and museums. The sound is very loud and can disturb people. Some drivers have accidents because they use their mobile phones while driving. So, are mobile phones really a good thing?30 去年的第29题In the Chinese lunar calendar, there are 12 animal signs. Each of them represents a lunar year.It is said that the animals held an exciting race to decide their order. After the race began, the strong, hard-working Ox took the lead. Suddenly, the clever Rat jumped on the Ox's back and won the race! TheOx came second, the Tiger third, and so it went. The Pig took his time and came last. The cycle of animal years repeats every 12 years. Some people believe that people born in the same animal year may share similar characteristics. not. 14.﹣Mr Ling.I have some difficultythe article.﹣Rememberit three or four times at least.()A.to understand;reading sth"(在某方面有困难),in可以省略.故第一个空用understanding.第一句提出自己的麻烦后,第二句应该为凌老师给出的建议,为还没有做的事情.记得去做某事用remember to do sth.故第二个空用to read.故选C.【点评】本题考查两个固定短语.注意区分remember to do与remember doing的区别:remember to do 意思是记住去做某事,表示这件事情还没有做.remember doing 意思是记得做过某事,表示这件事情还已经做了.15.﹣Could you tell me?﹣Every four years. The 24th will take place in China in 2022.()A.how long the Winter Olympic Games lastB.how long do the often.故选D.【点评】此题考查宾语从句.考生在答题时要注意"宾语从句必须采用陈述语序",根据上下文语境确定合适的选项.二、完形填空阅读短文,从每题所给选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项.16.On Thursday,I dropped my kid off at school and was on my way to San Francisco. When turning a corner,I 五、典型题型示例
What is the most common subst ance on earth? It isn’t wood, iron, or sand. It is water. Water covers more than seventy percent of the earth’s surface. It is in lakes, rivers, and oceans. It is in the ground and in the air. It is actually everywhere.
What is important because life on earth could not live without it. People, animals, and plants all need water. Every living thing is mostly water. A people’s body is about sixty-seven percent water. A bird is about seventy-five percent water. Most fruit is about ninety-percent water.
Most of the water in the world is saltwater. Ninety-seven percent of the water on earth is in the oceans. Because seawater is salty, people cannot drink it or use it to grow plants for food. Only three percent of the earth’s water is fresh. Only one percent of the water in the world is easily available for human use.
Even though water is very important and necessary to life, people often pollute it. When water pollution becomes worse, all living things will be in danger. So we must take care of water.
1. What is the most important substance on earth?
2. What percentage of water is there in the human body?
3. Where is ninety-seven percent of the water on earth?
4. Why can’t people drink or use seawater?
5. What should we do?
There are many things you can do to improve your memory. Among them are many kinds of main ways as well as taking care of your health specially.
It is important that you make yourself excited to make your memory more active. You can do this by joining in some new activities and by changing your daily habits. Learning a new skill helps your brain to develop. When trying to remember something, you should pay special attention to the most important things about it. Do not allow other thoughts to enter your mind because this will reduce your chances of making right memories. An excellent way to help memory is to connect information with pictures. Try to see the pictures in your mind. Taking notes and keeping a diary will also be helpful.
Healthy food and plenty of vitamins are necessary for your memory to work well. Drinking a lot of water also helps keep your memory. You must allow your brain to have enough sleep and rest. When you are asleep, your brain stores memory. Not having enough sleep can cause problems with storing information. And being tired will also stop you from being able to think clearly and well. In order to keep your mind on your work, you must be free from worry. Generally keeping fit and normal health checks are both important as well—not just for improving your memory.。
