1. 写出下列短语:

泼水节 ____ 端午节 ______ 春节 _____ 元宵节 ______ 明年

拜访亲朋好友 两周后 增加 从....到.... 和…相似

2. 翻译下列句子:

a. 关于端午节,你最喜欢什么?

b. 我认为观看他们很有趣。

c. 我相信四月是那里一年中最热的月份。

二,课堂合作探究:

1. Teach 1a.

First show some pictures about festivals, ask stude nts to guess how to speak them in En glish. Then

lead students to have a look at the descriptions in 1a. Have them match the pictures with the descripti

ons.

Check the answers .Put students into pairs to practice the conversations in the box.

2. Teach 1b.

First give students 2 mins to have a fast reading of the 4 statements in 1b. Invite some students to expla

in the meaning of each senten ce.

Play the tape twice. Students listen and check their work.

In vite a stude nt to prese nt his or her work to check the an swers.

3. Teach 1c.

First lead the students to read the sample conversations.

Encourage them to make new conversations like this to talk about the festivals in 1a.

Finally,invite several pairs to act out for the whole class.

4. Teach 2a and 2b.

Tell stude nts : we will hear a conv ersatio n betwee n Wu Mi ng and Harry. Can you guess what they

are talk ing about?

Play the tape twice.The first time ,circle the correct words in the sen ten ces. The sec ond time, have to

grasp the information about downsides Wu Ming did,write them down in the chart.

In vite some stude nts to check the an swers.

5. Teach 2c.

First give stude nts 2 minu tes to practice the sample conv ersati on.

After that, ask them to make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b. Finally,invite several

pairs to act out for the whole class.

6. Teach 2d.

Then lead the stude nts to read it sentence by senten ce, expla in some Ian guage points at the sam

time.

Ask students to practice role-playing the conversation in pairs.

do that.

2. 由if和whether引导的宾语从句,是由一般疑问句演变而来的,翻译成“是否”,从句用陈 述句语序。Eg.

I don 'tk now if (whether) they will come to our party.
