3. 时间视角的转移 • 与空间视角转移一样，时间视角也可以灵 活地进行转移。时间的前或后是我们可以 灵活调整变换的关系。在英文中，这一类 的句子通常靠before，since等词连接起来。
• (1) It was not long before he died. • 译文 过了不久，他就死了。 • (2) It has been one year since I last smoked. • 译文 一年前，我戒了烟。/ 我戒烟已经一 年了。 • (3) This is well out of the line of traffic and it was three years before any ship sighted the castaways. • 译文 这里远离航线，过了三年，过往船只 才发现这群流落荒岛的人。
• 从根本来说，是逻辑习惯和语言习惯决定 了在翻译中是否应该采取正反视角转移的 方法。比如英文中的“staff only”，如果 直译则成为“员工专用”或“只有员工能 进入”。我们采取“闲人免进”来翻译它 ，一方面是为了形成四字格；另一方面它 采取否定说法，口气更为严厉。从以上的 几个示例可以看出，正反视角的转移不只 是给我们提供了一种翻译的技巧，更为我 们提供了一种在翻译中逆向思维的方法。
第四，正反视角的转移。正反视角的转移是 视角转移的一种重要方式。英语和汉语都有大量 用正反两种形式表达相同意思的现象，这为我们 实现正反视角的转移奠定了坚实基础。比如这样 一句话“He would say no more”，如果采用否 定的方法翻译，可以翻译成“他不肯再多说了”， 如果用肯定的说法，可以翻译成“他只肯说到这 里”。 当然，这只是视角转移的几种方式。有句诗 说得好，“横看成岭侧成峰”，只要我们留心， 可以说视角的转移在翻译中无处不在，转移的方 式也是千变万化的。如果我们能恰当地使用视角 转移的方法，必将给译文增色不少。

译员在书写译文之前往往已经对原文进行了视译，
而且很可能不止一次地视译原文。这对口译译员
来说更是如此。很多情况下，书面发言稿是在活
动开始前的最后一刻才迟迟送达译员手中。译员
根本没有充裕的时间事先将其翻成译文，而只能
在讲话人念稿的同时匆匆浏览一下文章的内容，
因此视译是所有从事口译工作者的基本功。交替
传译和同声传译中的视译一般有以下几种情形：

其意。但是，除非万不得已，应尽量避免在句子
了从视译角度提供了充分的解析之外，我们还同时
从其他角度提出了具有实用性和探索性的翻译见解。
我们殷切希望本教材的问世能够引发业界师生们的
深刻思考，使当前我国视译或口译教学效率低下的
现实有所改观，从而开创外语教学的新局面。

鉴于作者学识和经验所限，本教程定有诸多缺
憾，甚至谬误之处，诚请各位同仁不吝赐教。谨此
果适度迁就时间便是唯一的出路。

教学内容：◆Things could be expressed either in a positive way or in a negative way.◆One of the biggest differences between Chinese and English.⏹Warm-up practice:1.今天的中东还很不安宁。

The Middle East today is far from peace. （反说正译）2.他的解释不能让人满意。

His explanation is far from satisfactory. （反说正译）试比较：His explanation is really not satisfactory.3.黄鼠狼给鸡拜年，不安好心。
