a，an，the是冠词，就像帽子扣名词；

1、不定冠词a，an用在单数可数名词前面，泛指一类人或物中的任何一个。

a a n t h ean, a 是不定冠，用在数可数名前面，表示“一”的意，但不数目念。

a 用在以音（指音音素）开的前，an 用在以元音（指元素音素）开的前。

a+ 名数，表示一个⋯⋯，或者某一⋯⋯，an 一般用于元音字母开的，作用和 a 一， the+ 名表示特指， the+ 形容，表示一人或者事物。

a 和 an 是不定冠，修泛指名。

只不以元音开的名用an 修翻成“一个”。

the是定冠，修特指名翻成“ 个”。

冠是虚，本身不能独使用，也没有，它用在名的前面，帮助指明名的含。

英中的冠有三种，一种是定冠（ the Definite Article ），另一种是不定冠（ the Indefinite Article ），有一种是零冠（ Zero Article ）。

1）不定冠在句子中最大的法功能是：用在可数名的数形式前表示泛指-- 表明一人或事物区于它。

例： I am a Chinese.我是(一个)中国人。

This is a book.是（一本）。

2）了音的方便，在以元音音素开的可数名的数名前用 an 而不用 a。

当我使用 an ，条件有三：① 个名的音必是以元音音素开 -- 即它的音的第一个音素是元音，而不是它是以元音字母开。

②它必是个可数名。

③它必是个数名。

我常常到用法：a university一所大学an hour一个小an orange一只桔子an engineer一位工程an ordinary man一个普通人an honest person一位的人3）定冠在句子中，既可以用于可数名前，也可以用于不可数名前；既用在可数名的数形式前，也用在可数名的复数形式前。

从表达意上，它既可表达this, that之意，也可表达 these, those 之意。

例：This is the very ink I'm going to buy.正是我要的那种墨水。

The words on the blackboard are to be learned next time.黑板上的些字是下次要学的。
