本课是Australia主题下延伸出的子话题Australian animals-kangaroos，语用功能为学会描述动物（describing animals）。

在Unit 1 Why do you like Australia?的学习中，学生已学会简单阐述自己喜欢澳大利亚的原因。

Unit 2则从澳大利亚四大动物之一——袋鼠的视角，帮助学生学会如何描述动物。

与此同时，融合绘本Let’s Meet Australian Animals. 拓宽了学生对于澳大利亚动物的了解，带领他们进一步了解澳大利亚。

二、学情分析本课的授课对象是一年级起点四年级的学生，经过三年的英语学习,已经有一定的语言积累，并具备一定的听、说、读、写的能力。

他们对学习内容能积极思考、主动参与，并具备一定的合作学习和自主探究能力。

课前，我通过网络空间对学生做了调查。

调查显示，全班48位同学有40位能准确说出动物单词，42位掌握了颜色的单词，38位能表达简单的单词。

三、教学目标1.语言能力（1）能听懂、认读、会说、会拼写back一词；（2）能借助图片和文字听懂、读懂和朗读课文；（3）能运用They live in … ,They jump…,The mother kangaroo has…,They eat.. ,They drink…等介绍袋鼠的居住地、特征和生活习性；（4）能在思维导图的提示下简单地从特征、生活习性、居住地等方面描述动物。

2.学习能力能在pair-work、group-work等活动中提升自主学习、合作学习能力。

3. 思维品质（1）能借助思维导图有条理性和逻辑性地介绍袋鼠或其他动物。

（2）能特别对袋鼠感兴趣，通过提问了解他们，并热爱各种动物。
