Unit 1 Let’s SpellThe lecture notes of 《PEP Primary English》Book 4Unit 1 Let’s spellLadies and Gentlemen, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you.Ⅰ.Analysis of the learning situation analysisThe design of this class is mainly based on the teaching materials and students' age characteristics.According to the spirit of the new curriculum standard,stimulate students' interest in learning, cultivate the good study, rich life experience.The reasonable design of teaching tasks, carry out various forms of teaching activities, lets the student experience, cooperation and exchanges,to help students develop comprehensive language application ability in English learning, improve students' active thinking, bold practice, improve cross-cultural awareness and form independent learning ability.Ⅱ.Analysis of the teaching material一、Teaching matterThe teaching purpose of PEP teaching materials is to stimulatestudents' interest in learning English and to cultivate their positive attitude towards learning English, so that they can initially build confidence in learning English. Cultivate students with a certain sense of language and good pronunciation, intonation, writing foundation, and good study habits; Give them the ability to use English for simple daily communication.Atthesame time, cultivate students' observation, memory, thinking, imagination and creativity. It is necessary to introduce the Chinese and western culture, cultivate students' patriotism, enhance the consciousness of the world, and lay a good foundation for further study.二、Teaching aims1. Aims on the emotion(1)To foster Ss’ consciousnes s of good co-operation and proper competition.三、 Key-points of this lesson(1) To enable the Ss to perceive - er in the pronunciation ofwords, and can be independent spell words containing letter combinations - er.四、 Difficult points(1) To enable the Ss to understand picture books and read thestory with emotion.(2)To develop Ss’abilities of listening ,reading, andspeaking.Ⅲ.Preparations of teaching materials1、Tape recorder and tapes2、cards of the new wordsⅣ.Teaching and studying methodsAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based” teaching method.And Interest is the best teacher. Traditional teaching is only the way of teachers reading or studentsfollowing the tape. It seems rather dull. In my design, I emphasize the practice use of language. I set up some settings, topics,games and rhythms to talk to each other. And finally give more praises and encourages. In this way they may be more active in class.Ⅴ.Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing. I’ll finish this lesson in five steps.Step 1. Warm-upFlash Game: Show the pictures of words quickly: water,tiger,sister,computer and dinner.Then let ss read the words. Then show the ppt of these words,let ss listen and chant togetherPurpose: It is important to form a better English learning interests for the Ss by games and at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step. Step 2. Presentation1.Learn the new word rooster.Show the word of “rooster”,ask Ss and let Ss try to spell it independently.And practise the new word2.Then show the cover of the story .And let Ss think about some questions:What can you see?What happened between the tiger and the rooster? Let Ss read the story.3.Take the form of a picture tour to learn the story. From picture 1 to picture 8,let Ss to read the story with some questions,such as what is the rooster doing? Now,who is coming?(A tiger.) What else can you see? (A farmer,a rooster…) And learn the new words and new sentences:flower,cornerThe tiger wants to eat the rooster.The tiger dresses up as a rooster dancer .And when Ss read the story,show some open questions,too. The tiger dresses up as .?If you are the rooster,what will you do?To enable Ss to think over the story and develop Ss’abilities of listening ,reading, and speaking.Purpose: In the form of pictures around learning drawing books, can detailed guide students to read the text. At the same time, the open question can help to cultivate students' thinking ability. In addition, it is necessary to cultivate students' listening ,speaking skills, and to stimulate and cultivate students' interest in learning English.3.From picture 9 to picture 15, Learn the story by reading, imitating and listening to various forms of reading.And spell the new words: flower,corner.Purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.Step 3 Practice1.Pratice by diffrernt ways of reading.Listen to the tape - read between the teachers and the students - and the two groups take turns reading.2. Review the -er words that appear in the picture book. tiger ,rooster, dancer, singer, flower,corner,danger. Let Ss read one by one.Purpose:Through various kinds of exercises, students can consolidate their new knowledge and study in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, which is in line with the students' age and psychological characteristics.Step 4 Homework1.Listen and read the textbook and finish the exercises in the book.2.Read the story with emotion.Purpose:The design of the homework is mainly to enable the students to apply their knowledge in a timely manner and to improve the comprehensive application ability of the language. 第三课时一、课时内容A. Let’s spellB. Let’s sing二、课时分析本课时是义务教育灵通版(pep)小学英语教科书四年级下册的第一单元第三课时,本课时围绕单元主题展开课题,包括A. Let’s spell B. Let’s sing 两个板块。
A. Let’s spell板块分为Read, listen and chant;Read, underline and say 以及Look, listen and write 三部分。
Read, listen and chant呈现了er在单词中发/ə/音的规则;Read, underline and say通过读单词、划出发音相同的字母组合、跟读例词的活动强化记忆er的发音规则,帮助学生根据er的发音规则读出新词,巩固学习er的音形对应关系;Look, listen and write则是通过看图、听音、写单词活动帮助学生按照发音规则拼写单词,补全短语和句子。
B. Let’s sing板块围绕单元主题展开,灵活运用于课堂各个教学环节,帮助学生巩固新学语言知识或复习旧知识,同时调节课堂气氛,提高了学生的学习兴趣。
本课时教学是在学生跟随录音有节奏的吟唱歌谣时掌握er的读音规则,根据以上任务,我在设计教学过程中。
遵循以学生为主体的原则。
时刻关注学生er的发音是否到位,并加以训练。
在教学第二段歌曲时,歌曲中的classroom可以换成本单元的其他核心词汇替代,学生在歌唱时,可以鼓励学生大胆的改编歌词,来提高学生的学习主动性。
三、课时目标1. 能够听,说,读,写单词water,tiger,sister,dinner,computer。
2. 学习字母组合er在单词末尾的发音。
3. 会唱英语歌曲《our school》4. 引导学生进行发现式学习,观察,感知,体验相结合的学习方法。
