本堂课是本单元的第三课时，复习巩固前两课时所学内容的任务较大，既要复习字母的发音和写法，又要巩固单词的读音和“向他人确认物品英文名称”的句型。
也有新授内容“请求单词拼写帮助”的句型:Spell it, please.的教学。
开篇通过听唱和学唱字母歌，既激发了学生学习的兴趣，又自然导入了字母的复习，由字母的读音到字母的写法，再到单词的认读及已学句型A: What ’s this/that in English? B: It ’s a/an …的掌握，环环相扣。
然后自然引出新句型Spell it, please.并开展了分行训练和结对活动，突出了重点，解决了难点。
听力训练集中进行，使学生能专心听取信息，完成听力要求。
课堂小结简单明了，重点突出。
巩固性练习简单且针对性叫强。
整体师生配合较好，充分体现了教师为主导，学生为主体的教学模式；活动丰富多样，体现合作学习的特色，符合初一学生的学习特点和学习语言的规律。
但由于时间分配不太合理，巩固提高环节可能完成得略显仓促，尤其是没有让学生谈论所带的实物，还请理解，见谅！。
