瑜伽读⾳与含义--南怀瑾⽼师讲解
讲到这个说明,我们要注意的,瑜伽我们为什么翻译成“yoga”?在古代的梵⽂⾥头,这个⼀般⼈修持,拿中国话来讲:修道的⼈。
这个道不⼀定讲道家的道、佛家的道或者哪⼀家的道,不管(它),这个道是个代名词。
在印度来讲⼀般修出世的⼈,都叫做修yoga,瑜伽(jia1)。
拢总叫修道就是瑜伽(jia1)。
那么真正⼀个⼈,专门修道有功夫的,就叫“瑜伽(qie2)师”,不叫yoga,叫瑜伽师。
实质上中⽂翻译它的意思,那就不叫“瑜伽(jia1)”了,叫“瑜伽(qie2)”,所以中国的佛经⾥头有“瑜伽(jia1)”“瑜伽(qie2)”两种念法。
换句话说,“瑜伽(jia1)”就是yoga了。
这是⼀个修道的总称、统称。
⼀个是修持,有所成就的,那叫瑜伽(qie2)。
瑜伽师,就是说在修持有所成就的⼈。
由⼀个普通⼈修持⽽到成佛,尤其佛法,他把整个的佛法,由⼈到天;由⼈天之际,到达如何证⼩乘罗汉⽐如声闻缘觉的果位,乃⾄⼤乘菩萨道的果位,如何成佛,他的著作⾥头分成了⼗七章的范围。
所以叫作“瑜伽师地”,⼀地⼀地就是⼀层⼀层,这个层次,这个“地”代表层次,所以是《瑜伽师地论》,⼀共有⼗七地。
