二、开始新课:(15分钟)分两次学课文:第一节学习词类和名词变复数1、十个词类:名词,冠词,代词,形容词,数词,动词,副词,介词,连词,感叹词名词变复数:II. 名词(Noun)1. 名词可分为可数名词和不可数名词。
2、不可数名词(Uncountable Nouns)一般没有复数形式,如:water - some water, milk - a glass of milk。
3、可数名词(Countable Nouns)有单数(Singular Form)和复数(Plural form)两种形式。
2. 可数名词的复数形式(The Plural Form of Nouns)在英语中,可数名词如果表示的数量为“一个”,则用其单数形式,若表示的数量为“一个以上”,则用其复数形式。
这与汉语习惯是不同的。
可数名词的复数形式变化规则如下:1) 名词的复数形式一般在词尾加-s。
如:desk—desks, teacher—teachers。
2) 以-s, -sh, -ch, -x结尾的名词加-es。
如:box—boxes, watch—watches。
3) 以辅音字母+y结尾的名词,变y为i再加-es。
如:family—families, baby—babies,factory—factories。
4) 多数以-o结尾的名词加-es,如:tomato—tomatoes, potato—potatoes;注意:有些以o结尾的名词是只加-s的,如:zoo—zoos, photo—photos。

1、理解课文
The Great Wall
The Great Wall is one of the world's most famous wonders. It is located in the north of China.
Building of the Great Wall first began during the Warring States Period (476—221 BC). The walls were built to protect these states. In 221 BC, the first Emperor of the Qin Dynasty unified China and decided
to have the walls linked and extended.
It is said that about 1 million people, one fifth of China's population at the time, were forced to build the Wall. It took them more than ten years to build it under terrible conditions. They had to carry all the stones, bricks and lime up to the top of mountains by hand.
The amount of bricks and stones which were used to build the Wall is believed to be enough to build a wall five meters high and one meter thick around the earth.
The Great Wall which we can see now was rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty in the 16th century. It extends from Shanhaiguan Pass, on the coast of Bohai Bay, to Jiayuguan Pass in Gansu Province. It's more than 6,700 kilometers long.
The Great Wall is one of the great creations of the ancient Chinese people. Thousands of travelers from all parts of the world come to visit the Great Wall every year. In 1987 it was listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Ma Li: Here we are! Look, on the top of the mountain is the Great Wall.
Mr Henson: Ah! How marvelous and magnificent it is! Let's start climbing. Come on!
Ma Li: Now we are on a beacon tower. In ancient times, when the enemy came, soldiers would make fires or smoke to send alarm signals from here. Fire was used at night and smoke during the day.
Mr Henson: Great! Am I really standing on the Great Wall? I'm so excited today!
