教学设计 一、教材分析 本课是一节阅读课，通过时差问题引入世界各地的人们同一时刻进行不同活动的话题，介绍中国留学生朱辉的故事，展现他在中国的家庭和国外寄宿家庭里的生活场面，不仅介绍了中国传统节日---端午节，还让学生领略到中西方不同的文化习俗。

二、学情分析 经过前三课时的学习，学生已经基本掌握了现在进行时的各种表达方法，但是语言基础仍然薄弱，语言的拓展运用能力较差，由于学生所学的词汇有限以及平时的阅读训练不是很充分，导致学生在阅读能力方面有所欠缺。

因此，教师在课堂教学中引导学生自主学习和语言实践，渗透学法，指导阅读，提高阅读能力。

三、教学目标 1、知识目标 使学生能理解和正确使用本课中的下列词汇：

race, state, child, study, miss, wish, American, any, other,

young, delicious, still, the United States, dragon boat race。

2、能力目标 使学生运用 skimming 和 scanning 等阅读策略，培养阅读兴趣，提高学生在阅读中快速获取信息的技巧和能力。
