2018年12期总第400期职业教育研究ENGLISH ON CAMPUS《文秘英语》课堂设计——以听说课Making and Answering Telephone Calls 为例文/赖雯菲《文秘英语》是文秘专业学生的专业基础课。
这门课程开设一学年,总72学时,4个学分。
本课选用的是由外研社出版,杨亚军主编的《文秘英语》教材。
该教材面向行业,以能力培养为本位,适应学生智能特点、真实、可操作性强,锻炼学生听说读写全方位的能力。
而且,该教材紧扣“涉外秘书资格证”考试的内容。
听说课Making and Answering Telephone Calls出自《文秘英语》中第二单元的第一部分,听说部分。
学生在经过第一单元对秘书的角色和作用的整体了解后,第二单元开始进入具体工作情境的学习。
电话交流是秘书最基本也是最常遇到的工作情境。
而第二单元的第一部分,Making and Answering Telephone Calls电话接听,在本单元中起着总起的作用,让学生在听说练习中快速进入工作情境,同时为接下来的单元内容学习打下基础。
本课的教学重点是使学生掌握并能熟练运用接听电话中的常用语句,而教学难点在于使学生能根据实际工作情境进行恰当的电话交流。
根据上述教学重难点,课堂的教学目标为学生能流利说出涉外秘书活动中电话接听的常用语句,能具备用英语进行电话接听的能力,提供得体的电话服务,能锻炼自身在电话接听中的交际能力和提高团队合作能力。
为了达到这一目标,因材施教,在课堂上,教师主要采取的教学方法是任务教学法和角色扮演法。
把90分钟的整节课当做一个大任务,最终目标是使学生能顺畅地用英语进行电话接听。
在这一目标下,学生进行一个个小的任务,由浅到深,由易到难,循序渐进地递进学习。
在最后学生知识输出上,则采用角色扮演法,让学生在特定情境中进行学习成果展示。
而在学法指导上,主要有4方面,分别是启发探究、动手实践、思考讨论和小组合作,充分发挥学生学习的主动性和积极性。
《秘书英语》教学大纲执笔人卢琳琅一、课程性质、地位和作用《秘书英语》是文秘专业学生的一门选修课程,是理论与实践相结合的课程。
通过该门课程的学习,学生可以全面掌握一定的英语语音知识、国际交往知识、涉外文秘日常业务等以及涉外文秘工作人员在不同涉外环节中的情景对话。
因此该门课程作为一门选修课程,在本专业课程体系中居于比较重要的地位。
二、课程教学对象、目的和要求本课程适用于大学专科层次文秘专业学生,该课程从培养高级应用型人才的总体目标出发,结合学生毕业后的工作实际,力求向学生提供其将来成为在英语环境中工作的办公室人员所需要的专业英语知识和技能,培养学生使用涉外业务英语的交际能力,其中包括专业文献阅读、翻译、写作和口头交际的能力,为学生在毕业后走上工作岗位上能成功地将所学的知识灵活应用到实际工作中做好充分地准备。
学习本课程,要求学生具备一定的秘书学方面的知识以及较好的英语水平,通过本课程的学习让学生对秘书英语语体风格有一定的了解,使学生掌握秘书(尤其是涉外秘书)所必须具备的基本知识和工作技能,提高专业英语的应用能力,为毕业后能在相关的工作岗位上成功地学以致用做准备。
学习本课程,主要采用课堂讲授和实践训练相结合的方法进行教学,让学生了解基本的涉外秘书需要的英语语言知识再结合课本内容所设计的情景进行教学,让学生能够在课堂学习加实践练习的模式下掌握和使用涉外秘书所需的基本知识和技能。
在实践课方面还要多设计书本外的如今现实中出现频繁的涉外秘书工作情景,让学生进行实践训练,能够全面掌握和灵活运用所学的秘书英语知识。
三、课程的相关课程及其关系学习本课程前的相关课程包括:秘书学、秘书实务、会议管理等相关课程,通过了解这些内容,学生可以掌握基础的秘书工作专业知识,为学习文秘英语打好。
四、课程内容及学时分配本课程教学总时数为52学时,其中讲授学时为30时,实训为22学时。
第一单元教学时数:2课时教学重点:英文求职信的正确书写和商业信函的书写,让学生学会怎样才能成为一个合格的秘书,其中包括如何面试、如何准备,及英文求职信的写作。

文秘英语“教、学、做”一体情境教学资料文秘英语课程是我院应用英语专业的一门重要专业课程,具有很强的综合性和实践性。
该课程的功能在于培养用英语进行秘书业务处理的职业能力,达到本专业学生应获得的职业资格证书的基本要求,为后续涉外文秘实习能力培养做准备。
该课程的教学目标是:培养学生阅读和翻译涉外英语文章的能力,包括专业技术性文章和实用性文章;培养学生应用文写作能力,内容包括欢迎辞,建议书,备忘录等;培养学生英语口语交际能力,比如接待来访,接听电话,商务旅游等。
由此可见,该课程旨在培养学生的听说读写译的英语综合能力,让学生能全方位的胜任涉外秘书英语职务。
这一综合性的教学目标给秘书英语课堂教学提出难题,因为学生既要掌握专业知识,又要熟悉英语语言,而且各方面的能力都以应用性,实践性为指向。
传统的课堂教学方法PPP,即presentation(老师讲),practice( 学生练) 和production(学生用)(Peter Skehan,1998:93),以演绎法为主,以语言形式为中心,注重语言知识和老师的讲授,忽视英语的交际性和应用性,而任务型教学法恰恰可以弥补传统教学法的不足,适合秘书英语课堂教学。
一、教学设计思路《文秘英语》秉承“让学生通过工作来实现学习”的原则,课程教学设计按照分析(Analyzing)、转化(Transformation)和系统化(Systematization)的步骤进行,即ATS 模式。
分析,即在企业进行职业调研,并对招聘广告进行收集分析,归纳出涉外秘书10 项工作任务与职业能力,据此确定教学内容。
转化即遵循教育学、教学法、心理学的相关理论,结合国家秘书职业资格证书考试,与企业专家和职业教育专家一起研讨,将涉外秘书工作岗位实际需要的知识、能力、素质转换成为课程教学内容,即10 个学习情境。
系统化,以典型工作情境为逻辑线索,以项目为载体完成每一个情境的学习,并将课程内容系统化,以10 个一体化项目和10 个实训项目支持学生能力发展。
职业教育环境下的文秘英语教学设计秘专业人员的实际素质要求,设置相应的教学情境,培养学生在文秘工作中的实际语言运用能力; 2.1.4教学内容设计要充分考虑实践性与开放性的要求。
2.2教学内容的组织与安排:本课程的教学内容的组织原则为实用为主,够用为度。
我将本课程的内容分为两个教学模块来进行。
第一教学模块是理论教学部分,涉及文秘英语的基础知识、专业术语、习惯性表达和秘书英语应用文写作;第二教学模块是实训部分,涉及文秘英语口语与写作的单项技能训练、口语与写作的综合技能训练和社会实践。
2.3课程的重点、难点与解决办法 2.3.1本课程的重点:职业环境中的文秘英语知识传授和英语应用能力的提高。
2.3.2本课程的难点:由于中职学生英语基础薄弱,缺少实际应用英语和实际工作的经验,在职场环境下应用英语的能力,如口语,听力,写作等都比较困难。
2.3.3解决方案:合理调整教学内容,实用为主,够用为度,在课堂上采取由浅入深、循序渐进的教学方法,保证基础,突出重点,逐渐引入职场概念,多加指导和背景介绍;对于个别学习困难的学生,采用个别辅导、答疑的方法解决;增加实践性教学。
通过项目驱动型模式、模拟练习、情景实践、现场实训等形式,增强学生的感性认识,从而更好的掌握知识,增强技能。
3学情与学法指导职业教育培养的是技术、生产、管理服务等领域的一线工作人员,英语教学应能解决学生将来在工作岗位的实际交际需求。
根据许多学校在众多企业中所调查了解的情况,以及对毕业生的调查,学生的实际应用能力不能满足社会要求,目前的英语教学也不能满足广大学生的需要。
因此,英语教学的目标之一应是培养学生综合应用能力,即在保证一定的英语基础知识上,重点培养英语学习策略、交际策略、跨文化交际能力和职业能力。
3.1学情分析 3.1.1学生的知识基础和技能基础英语基础知识有差异;专业英语知识较薄弱,英语思维能力较弱;没有过多的实践经验 3.1.2学生的心理特征和学习习惯对英语教学有抵触情绪,自主学习意识差;缺乏参与意识,习惯被动听课;学习方法单一,缺乏科学方法指导;学生本身属于灵活好动型,求知欲望较强。
