New Course Syllable for English
Part 1: Introduction
With the advent of the information age and the global economy, English has become
increasingly important. English is the dominant carrier of information and the most
widely spoken language in the world. Many countries have made English a cornerstone
of quality education when developing strategies for basic education.
Since China’s reform and opening, the scale of its English education has continually
grown, attended by significant achievements in teaching and learning. However, English

《普通高中英语课程标准（实验〉》于2003年由国家教育
部颁布，自此，全国的英语课程改革浪潮开始。新课程相当注
重受教育群体的发展，在此背景下，作为进行教育活动的教育
者也需要不断提高自身素质并完善自身。也就是说，新课程对
教师的专业发展的要求将更高。
英语教师有多种途径实现自身的专业化发展。笔者认为，
广泛而有效地利用现有的英语教学资源，是英语教师实现自身
专业发展的重要途径之一。课程资源作为新一轮国家基础教育
课程改革所提出的一个重要概念，其外延十分广泛， 既包括英
语教材、教科书，也包括教学中所生成的动态隐性资源。高中
英语教师可以充分利用课程资源，提高自身的专业水平。
1 各种教材资源的利用与教师语言基本功的提高
在新课程背景下，高中英语教材呈现出多样化、立体化
的特点。比如重庆市的新课改，全市共采用了三种教材供普通
高中使用，分别是外研社版，人民教育出版社版，以及重庆大
学版。教材打破了的只有单一教材的可供选择的传统局面。虽
然教材种类较多，但是各种教材在语言功能、话题选择、语法
设置等方面还是存在较多的相似之处。教师分析比较不同的教
材，了解不同教材对同一知识点各自的展示方法，可以拓展自
己的背景知识，了解英语教学研究的最新成就，加深对语言知
识的认识。这样，教师教学中就能更透彻地分析，语言运用也
就能更加丰富准确。
新课标下的高中英语教材还具有话题丰富、内容广泛且
有一定深度的特点。比如笔者所在的地区高中采用人教版普
通高中课程标准实验教科书New Senior English for China
