版本二：
万圣节原本是赞美秋天的节日。古代高卢、不列颠和 爱尔兰的德鲁伊德有一个赞美秋天的盛大节日，从10 月31日午夜到11月1日。他们认为，那天晚上她们伟大 的死神萨曼把那年死去的鬼混统统召来，这些恶鬼要 受到托生为畜类的惩罚。只要想到这么多的鬼魅聚会， 就足以令当时头脑简单的愚民胆战心惊了。于是他们 点起冲天的篝火并严密捡拾这些恶鬼。万圣节千叶到 处有女巫和鬼混的说法就是这么开始的。至今在欧洲 某些与世隔绝的地方，还会有人相信这是真的。
文化小知识：
万圣节
万圣节是西方的传统节日，日起在每年的11月1日。万 圣节前夕的10月31日是这个节日最热闹的时刻，小孩 会装扮成各种可爱的鬼怪逐家逐户敲门要求获得糖果， 否则就会捣蛋。传说这一晚，各种鬼怪也会装扮成小 孩混入人群来庆祝万圣节。
万圣节由来：
版本一：
传说自公元前五百年，居住在爱尔兰、苏格兰等地的 凯尔特人把这个节日往前移了一天，即10月31日。他 们认为改日是夏天正式结束的日子，也就是新年伊始， 严酷的冬天开始的一天。那时的人们相信故人的亡魂 会在这一天回到故居地在活人身上找寻生灵，借此再 生，而且是人死后能获得唯一再生的希望。活人惧怕 死人夺生，于是人们这一天熄掉炉火、烛光，让死人 的灵魂无法找到活人，又把自己打扮成妖魔鬼怪把死 人的灵魂吓走。之后，他们又开始把火种、烛光重新 燃起，开始新的一年的生活。
