Ideas of teaching

English course objectives in Secondary Vocational School emphasizes on practicality and application---“Taking the employment market as guidance,taking ability as standard school idea”.so we should motivate students and be relevant to their life experiences and cognitive level,what’more,to develop students’positive attitudes, thinking skills,practical abilities,cultural awareness and autonomy through the language learning process,so that the students graduating from Secondary Vocational School are qualified for the enterprises and society.

Analysis of unit8and students

This lesson is taken from Unit8If you want to talk,you can go online of Book two.Its function is mainly about expressing agreements and disagreements.In listening and speaking,It enables the students to understand questions about the use of computers and provide information on personal use of computers.By reading and writing,the students can understand posts on the Internet and write a post to express their nguage in use,the students can learn the most useful structure:Adverbial clause---conditional adverbial clauses.I will lead the students to talk about the advantages of Internet and Internet safety in order to use Internet in right way. at the same time,I’ll teach them to improve speaking by making arguments and learn to find the main idea and its supporting materials to express their opinions and prepare for future jobs.

So this unit is divided into four periods

Period1lead-in+listening and speaking

Period2reading and writing

Period3language in use+vocabulary practice+fun time

Period4unit task+life and culture

1.Analysis of the teaching material and students

This lesson is taken from Unit8If you want to talk,you can go online of Book two.I.It is the first period of this lesson,In listening and speaking,It enables the students to understand and talk about questions about the use of computers and provide information on personal use of computers by listening and speaking.I’ll teach them to use sentence patterns to express their ideas,in addition,It can develop students’listening and speaking ability.This period plays

an important role in the whole teaching of this unit,it will be helpful to make them learn the rest of this unit.

Students are interested in the topic,but lacking of language knowledge and ability,they are afraid of making mistakes in class, so this lesson aims to arouse their interests to talk about t questions about the use of computers and provide information on personal use

of computers.

2.Teaching objects and teaching important and difficult Points

The students can learn some useful words,expressions ans sentence patterns.

Do you often go online?Yes,I do.

How long do you spend online every day?About1hour every day.

What do you usually do online?I send emails and read the news.

Do you use the Internet to learn English?Yes,sometimes.

2)Ability object

The students can listen and talk about questions about the use of computers and provide information on personal use of computers and make

a dialogue about Internet by listening and speaking.

3)Emotional object

The students can learn about the advantages of Internet in order to use Internet in right way,and develop the cooperative sense in learning.

Teaching important and difficult Points

Important points:

The students can understand and master useful expressions and sentence patterns in listening and speaking.

Difficult points:

The students can use useful expressions and sentence patterns in listening and speaking to talk about questions about the use of computers and provide information on personal use of computers and make a dialogue about Internet.

3.The teaching methods,The l earning methods and teaching aids

“Task-based”teaching method,“Situational”teaching method,Group competitive method;Cooperation study method; Independent study method and collective discussion method help students combine the language structures with the language functions with the aid of CAI,The Bb,ppt,chalks.
