A moving story I read
1. What the story is about
Recently I read a story about an apple tree and a young boy, I was moved a lot
and at the same time ,it made me sad. Actually I should call it a fable(寓言),because I also learnt a lot from it. in the story, there was a huge apple tree. A
little boy loved to play around it everyday. Time went by. When the little boy
grew up,he no longer came. When the tree called the boy when he passed by.
The boy said he was busy for living and he needed money to buy a house . So
the tree let him pick the apples, chop off the branches and sell them.” The boy
did all the things happily. The tree left alone and soon died. The only hope of the
tree was that the boy would stay longer, but he didn’t. Many years later, the boy
missed the tree and he went to visit the tree, he found the tree was dead and he
realized the tree was his only happy memory. But it was too late.

2. Why this story impressed me a lot
I was deeply impressed by the story ,because I think the tree is like our parents,
and we are just like the boy. They give everything they have. But we sometimes
do not appreciate what they did for us, until it is too late. They never mention
what they did for us. They never ask us to do anything for them. Their hope is
so simple, they hope us happy and healthy, and when we grow up and leave
home , we can go home to visit them regularly.

Like the apple tree, my parents also love me very much.I am used to asking my
parents to buy me everything I like , they take care of me very well and give me
all their love. Like the little boy , I take everythings they gave me for
granted(把。。。当做理所当然),I even never say thanks to them and never think of
what I can give them back. Until I read the story, I think I should also do
something for my parents.

附加问题:What should you do for your parents?
We should not let them down. We should not blame them. We should not let
them angry. We should go home frequently after we grow up. Our parents will
be older and older, if they let you angry, don’t blame them. If they could not
cook one day, I will cook for them. If they could not walk one day, I will hold
them to go anywhere.
4. What the problem the story told me between parents and children
I think, a serious problem between parents and children is too much love. For
example, our parents are like the apple tree, they sacrifice(牺牲) everything
even their lives in return for(换回) our happiness. I don`t think it`s good,
because of such parents nowadays, many people who live on nothing but their
parents appeared, we call them NEET.(啃老族). That means some pepole have
no employment and only depend on their parents ,even when they are 30.
However ,I don`t think I `ll do that if I have a child in the future. When my child is old enough, I `ll teach him how to make money and how to take care of
himself instead of only giving. So I think teaching is better than giving.

5. What we can do to solve the problem
As parents, the only way to solve the problem is stop giving too much love to the
children, don`t spoil the children.let their children to look for a part- time job(兼职) when they study in the university,it`s a good way to practise in the
society. As a child, I think the best way to solve the problem is independence(独立),we should face both the challege and the trouble bravely, we should deal
with the problem by ourselves. When we need money ,we can look for a
job.when we have a dream, we can realize it through hard work. On the other
hand, we should treat our parents well. never say harmful words to our parents.
To be a good listener, earn lots of money, so that they can enjoy the best things
in the world. I will take them to travel around. My parents love travelling. I think
I can do those. I will try my best.
