一、用所给词的适当形式填空。

T:Did you go abroad or travel abroad,and which country do you like best? Can you introduce one country you like best? And how much do you know about the country? I want to invite some students to share some information with us.Any volunteers?
S1:I have never been abroad,but I like France best.I am looking forward to travelling to France.Although I have never been to France,I know it a lot.France is a romantic country,and it is famous for its wine.I expect to have a taste of the French wine.
S2:Last summer holiday,I went to London.I really like Britain.I like Shakespeare.And the London Eye is so beautiful.

T:There are so many countries in the world,so today let's get to know some of them.
设计意图:让学生用英语介绍他们喜欢的国家,一方面可以让学生大胆开口说英文,提高学生的口语表达能力,另一方面也能增加学生对学习英语的兴趣。

环节2新课学习
1.让学生思考一下“THINK ABOUT IT”中的两个问题,然后和自己的同桌分享一下自己的想法,最后教师请几个学生起来分享一下。

2.让学生先快速浏览一下课文,了解其主旨大意,然后再请两名学生用自己的话归纳一下文章的主旨大意。

3.让学生先浏览一下活动1的内容,然后带着问题阅读一遍文章,找到相应的答案并做好笔记。

完成活动1的任务后,教师邀请几名学生分享自己的答案,最后全班一起核对答案。

4.让学生先浏览一下活动2的内容,然后精读课文,从课文中寻找答案完成活动2的任务。

同时让学生标记出文中的生词、重点短语和句子,教师予以讲解(教师在讲解的过程中可邀请学生尝试翻译其中的重难句),然后请几名学生起来分享自己的答案,最后教师订正答案。

5.让学生先浏览一下活动3的题干,然后独立完成活动3的几个小题。

教师请几名同学分别朗读这几个句子,全班一起核对答案。

6.写作练习。

让学生课下写一篇介绍自己家乡的作文,根据活动4的要求来写。

提醒学生注意单词的拼写、标点符号以及句子的语法要正确,注意文章的谋篇布局,合理分段。

写完后,教师批改,然后评选出几篇优秀的作文给大家分享,然后再挑选几篇错误较多的作文,全班同学一起来纠错(注意不要透露学生的姓名)。

7.教师播放课文的录音,让学生跟读,并提醒学生注意单词的发音和语调。

8.要点点拨。

(1)The students in her class come from all over the world.
all over the world =all around the world全世界,世界各地。

(2)Last week,she asked her students to prepare presentations about their home countries.
prepare v.准备。

常用短语:prepare sth.准备某物/事;prepare for... =get ready for... 为……做准备。

(3)My people are known for our fun dances and colourful culture.
known adj.著名的,为人所知的。

它相当于famous。
