一.语言目标:
1.语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词:weak,god,remind, bit, a little bit, silly, instead of
2)能掌握以下句型:
① How does the story begin?
② What happened next?
③ What do you think of the story of Yu Gong?
④ What could Yu Gong do instead of moving the mountains?
3) 能够用英语询问故事的开始、发展及后续等。

能够对故事中的人物或情节发表一些简单的看法或观点。

二.能力目标:
情感态度和价值观目标:
学习愚公,要学习他“主动挖山”的精神。

在我们生活工作中存在着很多的“山”(困难,难题)。

在这些困难和难题的面前我们应该采取怎样的态度对待它?愚公不畏艰险,不怕困难,勇敢面对的精神,正是值得我们所学习的。

我们要把困难,难题当做一个朋友来对待。

三.教学重点及难点目标:
1. 教学重点:
1) 掌握本课时中出现的生词:weak,god,remind, bit, silly, instead of;
2) 学会询问故事发展的基本句型: How does the story begin? What happened next?
3) 学会表达故事中的人物或情节,掌握一定的听力技巧能够听懂故事情节,并发表一些简单的看法或观点。

What do you think of / about the story of Yu Gong? I think it’s a little bit silly. I still don’t agree w ith you.

教学过程
Step 1 Warming up
Greet the students
Good afternoon,boys and girls. Nice to meet you.
Step1 Lead-in
Show some beautiful pictures of western stories,and then ask the students whether they like reading or listening stories. After guessing the names of the stories, show some traditional Chinese stories. Name the four traditional Chinese stories, then ask some students to retell the beginning part of Yu Gong Moved the Mountains. What happened afterwards?
Step3 Listening
1. Please listen to 2a part. After listening,number the pictures.
2.Listen again, this time make the students pay more attention to the detail information. Choose the proper words of 2b.
Step4 Retelling
Next, go over the story,.There are ten blanks, please discuss in groups and fill in the blanks. After a while, we will check which group fill the best. After two groups giving the answers, the teacher check the answers together.
Step4 Talking
As for the story, different person has different opinions,what’s your opinions? Read the dialogue in 2d, then answer the questions:
1.Who do you think agree with Yu Gong’s behavior? Give the reasons.
2.Who do you think disagree with Yu Gong’s behavior? Give the reasons.
Step5 Summary
As the teacher said, there are many sides to a story and many ways to understand it. We just need to remember the reminder of a story. What does the story remind us?

Sometimes we meet problems, troubles and difficulties in our daily life, but don’t feel nervous or upset, we just need to try our best to deal with it. They are just friends of us. A beautiful song for you. Next time we will deal with the language points.
