Democratic Party grew out of the “Anti-Federalists”that appeared after 1787.It was founded in 1828 , led by a group of planters 、 capitalists and a considerable number of small farmers.Thmas Jefferson was the leader.

Federalist Party and the DemocraticRepublican Party. In 1816, the Federalist Party died out leaving a single political party for a short time. When Andrew Jackson lost in 1824, Jackson's supporters created their own organization to get him elected.
