1.2.1 Capital 资本
Capital is the money used to set up (建立) or start a company. Companies can borrow (借入) this money, called a loan (借款), from banks. The loan must be paid back (偿还) with interest (利息). Capital can also come from issuing shares or equities (股票) -certificates representing units of ownership (所有权).

I am so glad that I can have the opportunity to help you with financial English. This course, in my view, is a little bit difficult. To learn it well, you will need not only good English language skills, but also some background knowledge. I will try my best to help you with that and I need you to do the same. Essential nature of investment
– Sacrifice something of value now and expect to benefit from that sacrifice later
– Banks account, corporate stock, or corporate bonds are not only financial assets of households but also the liabilities of the issuers
First, banks use the money of deposits to lend to firms or individuals or to buy some financial asset issued by firms Second, firms issue financial assets to pay for the acquirement of real assets
※ The largest asset and liability both come from the owned house.
※ The position of deposits is usually maintained for liquidity.
※ Pension reserves is the money or assets invested for future retired life.
– By aggregating balance sheets over all households and firms, those financial claims cancel out, leaving only real assets as the net wealth of the economy
