（2）where一般用于提问地点（3）when通常用作回答大概、大约时间（4）whattime一般用于提问具体时间（5）how通常用作回答状况、状态（6）howmany一般用于提问可数名词（7）howmuch通常用作回答不可数名词（8）howold一般用于提问年龄（9）howlong通常用作回答距离（10）why一般用于提问原因、或不明白的地方（11）who通常用作回答人、就是谁（12）whose一般用于提问归属、是谁的1）疑点代词在句中起至名词词组的促进作用，用以形成疑问句。

疑点代词存有以下几个：指人：who，whom，whose指物：what既可以指人又可以指物：which2）疑问代词在句中应位于谓语动词之前，没有性和数的变化，除who之外也没有格的变化。

what，which，whose还可作限定词。

试比较：疑点代词：whosearethesebooksonthedesk？桌上的书是谁的？whatwasthedirectionalflowofu.s.territorialexpansion？美国的领土扩张是朝哪个方向的？限定词：whosebooksaretheseonthedesk？桌上的书是谁的？无论是搞疑点代词还是限定词，which和what所指的范围相同。

what所指的范围就是无穷的，而which则所指在一定的范围内，比如：whichgirlsdoyoulikebest？你讨厌哪几个姑娘？whatgirlsdoyoulikebest？你讨厌什么样的姑娘？whom是who的宾格，在书面语中，它作动词宾语或介词宾语，在口语中作宾语时，可用who代替，但在介词后只能用whom，例如：who（m）didyoumeetonthestreet？你在街上遇到了谁？（作动词宾语）who（m）areyoutakingthebookto？你要把这书带给谁？（作介词宾语，置句首）towhomdidyouspeakonthecampus？你在校园里和谁讲话了？（作介词宾语，置介词后，不能用who取代。

which和what的区别是：前者用于选择范围较小或较明晰的场合，后者用作挑选范围很大或不明晰的场合：whichcolordoyoulike,blackorwhite?黑色和白色，你喜欢哪种？whatcolorisyourcar?你的汽车就是什么颜色的？但是，若指人，即使选择的范围不明确，也多用which：which[what]writersdoyoulike?你讨厌哪些作家?②其后不接名词时，三者均可用，which和what的用法区别可参见上面的分析。

至于who，它一般只用来指人，不管选择范围大还是小、明确还是不明确均可用：whowon––tomormike?谁输了，就是汤姆还是迈克?whoisyourfavoritepoet?你最喜欢的诗人是谁?whoishe?他就是谁？（意即必须介绍他的情况）whatishe?他是干什么的？（询问他的职业）whichishe?他就是哪个？（用作在一群人分辨必须打听的人）三、两个疑问代词连用的情况恳请看看以下实例：whereandwhenwereyouborn?你出生在何时何地？whenandhowdidhegothere?他就是什么时候、怎么回去那儿的？"whereisit?""whereiswhat?"“它在哪儿?”“什么在哪儿?”句子就是英语自学的核心。

从句子采用的目的去分，它可以分成四类1、陈述句（肯定句和否定句）2、疑问句（一般疑问句、特殊疑问句和选择疑问句）3、祈并使句（肯定句和否定句）4、感叹句。

四大句子类型的相互切换，对于学生来说就是个难点，为此，可以通过说道顺口领的形式去协助学生化解这一难题。

例如：将陈述句变为通常疑问句，可以变为这样的顺口领：疑点疑点阳入个头，把be(系则动词“isaream”)放到最前头。

又例如：将陈述句的肯定句变为否定句，我们就可以这样说道：驳斥，驳斥提“not”，提在何处，加到系动词的后面；在句子相互切换的题型中，最惨的要数“就以下划线部分回答”或是“看答句，写下问句”这种题型了，其实，我们只要熟练掌握疑问词（what，whattime,whatcolour,where，when,who，whose，which，how，howold，howtall,howlong,howbig,howheavy,howmuch，howmany等等）具体内容用法，介绍他们就是针对什么回答的，这种题型就很难搞了。

对于这些疑问词，我建议搞一个表格，所这些疑点代词的汉语意思、用以回答什么制成一个表格，对照着记忆，可能将效果可以更好一些。

英语中，疑问词可以分成疑点代词和疑点副词，但在小学阶段，同学们没必要分给那么确切，只要明白每个疑问词的意义及用法就可以了。
