另外，这种结构形式还可使得多缸发动机结构短小，不必增加轿车的前悬长度。

在维修保养方面，链条传动机构可以降低使用费用，因为该装置无须保养，它是按长寿命（Ｌｏｎｇ　Ｌｉｆｅ）来设计的。
