2012年12月英语四级真题作文图表The 2012 December CET-4 Writing QuestionIn the 2012 December CET-4 test, one of the writing tasks required candidates to analyze a chart showing the percentage of people from different age groups in a country who spend their leisure time on various activities. The chart provided a visual representation of how individuals in different age brackets choose to relax and unwind during their free time. The age groups in the chart were divided into three categories: 18-30, 31-50, and 51-70. The activities included in the chart were reading books, watching TV, engaging in sports, going to the movies, and socializing with friends. The percentage of individuals in each age group who participated in these activities was clearly displayed on the chart.Overall, the chart showed that younger people in the 18-30 age group preferred activities such as engaging in sports and socializing with friends. Meanwhile, the 31-50 age group seemed to favor watching TV and going to the movies. Interestingly, individuals in the 51-70 age group were more likely to spend their leisure time reading books than engaging in other activities. The chart provided valuable insights into how people of different ages choose to spend their free time. It highlighted the importance of considering age as a factor when analyzing leisure activities. Younger individuals may prefer more active and social activities, while older individuals may lean towards quieter and more solitary pursuits. In conclusion, the 2012 December CET-4 writing task analyzing the chart of leisure activities among different age groups provided candidates with an opportunity to practice their analytical and interpretive skills. By examining the data presented on the chart, test-takers were able to draw conclusions about the preferences and tendencies of individuals of varying ages when it comes to leisure activities.。

Those who possess a doctoral degree earn 1,551dollarsdollars. As for the unemployment rate, 2.5% of people with doctoral degree will suffer from unemployment. However, the unemployment rate of people with some college, no degree and lower degree surpass thethere exists some difference in incomes and unemployment rate among people with different educational level. Quite a few reasons can account for this phenomenon: for one thing, with the advancement of technology and the adjustment of industrial structure, quite a few high-tech industries emerge overnight, which leads to a soar demand of workforces with high educational degree, thus, it is natural that graduates with bachelor’ and higher degree get a high pay-packet and enjoy a stable job. Additionally, those with educational background under the associate degree are easily dismissed and paid by low salary. They can be replaced at any time due to the fact that their jobs are easy and can befinished by average people.Definitely, the higher education degree you get, the more likelyauthorities should enforce some policies to ensure the equitycomfortable life.。
2012年12月英语四级真题及答案解析完整版Part I Writing【标准版】Nothing Succeeds Without a Strong WillNothing runs smoothly in our life. To achieve things successfully, a strong will is essential. Life is like a Marathon. Many people can’t get to the terminal. This is not bec ause they are lack of vitality but because their will of success is not strong enough. To take quitting smoking as an example, some regard it as a piece of cake. They make up their minds to quit it in the morning, but in the evening they feel that the smell of cigarettes is tempting. Their throats are sore, their mouths are thirsty, and their hands are shaking. After the painful mental struggle, they tell themselves that “One cigarette is enough. Just take one, and the next day I will quit it.” By doing this, they surrender to their weak will. In the end, they have quitted smoking “a hundred times”, but in no time they succeed.Just like quitting smoking, nothing succeeds without a strong will. To be successful in one’s life, a strong will means that you know where you go and you will persist on the road you choose. Undoubtedly success belongs to those who overcome their weak will and who hang in there until the last minute.【文章点评】本文属于话题类作文,只看题目“Nothing Succeeds without a strong will”考生会觉得比较抽象,难以下手。

In the three years between the publication of Education Pays 2007 and Education Pays 2010, median earnings for four-year college graduates increased more rapidly than those of high school graduates and the gap between the unemployment rates of the two groups grew. In addition to earnings comparisons, the report documents differences in lifestyles, health, and other outcomes for people with and without college education. 12月大学英语四级作文范文预测一:感恩On Cultivating the Sense of GratitudeOn college campuses across the nation, there is a noticeable phenomenonthat we cannot afford to ignore: far too many young college students lack thesense of gratitude, one of the countless traditional virtues of this ancientland with a splendid civilization spanning over 5,000 years. These young adultswere not and are not aware of the huge importance of expressing gratitude tothose who once helped them, from teachers to parents and so forth。
Personally, I deem that the root cause of students without a graceful heartis that they receive an education not valuing the moral sphere. I stronglybelieve that joint efforts from folks across society are the final remedy forthis social headache. As young university students of the new era, we shouldmake our own contributions to this cause. Imagine a world without the sense ofgratitude. This kind of world is doomed to failure. Simply put, we should joinour hands to heighten our awareness of fostering a graceful heart. Only in thisway can we build our society into a harmonious one. My fellow students, I begyou to act from now on.预测二:社会不文明现象On Uncivilized BehaviorsWe cannot fail to notice that countless uncivilized behaviors exist in ourdaily lives, such as spitting, talking loudly, littering, saying nasty words inpublic places and so forth. All these are bad manners that we should not losesight of. As an ancient land enjoying a splendid civilization spanning over5,000 years, Chinais witnessing a surge in improper acts that every Chinesecitizen should feel ashamed of. Uncivilized behaviors by a host of Chinese bothat home and abroad have seriously affected China's image, according to aneditorial posted on People Daily's official website. As Chinese, we should not get offended when others point out our weaknessesbut should focus more attention on improving ourselves. We should strive toidentify the causes of those improper behaviors and find ways to eliminatethem. There are a host of causes, I would argue, behind this trend. To nameonly one: the lack of moral education. The government should wage a massivemoral campaign to fight against this trend and we ourselves should endeavor tobehave decently in our daily lives. As college students of the new age, weshould take the leading role.预测三:水资源缺乏1. Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write acomposition on the topic On Water Shortage. To begin with, compared with those with comparatively lower education degree, people who have received higher education possess considerably wider knowledge, more remarkable learning and research ability, greater innovation and most of all, resourceful social network, all of which are essential to a high-income work. Also, the higher one‟s education degree is, the bigger platform he will have to show his ability. Above all ,the average college graduates earn much more than the typical high-school graduates. The fact revealed by these data is obvious: a degree does bring distinctive financial benefits to its holders. But is it true that a degree alone can ensure a bright future? I don‟t think so because, on the one hand, the financial value of high education depends heavily on what skills graduates can gain from it instead of the degree itself. The followingreason, in my opinion, is the most important one to account for this phenomenon. Compared with those with comparatively lower education degree, people who have received higher education possess considerably wider knowledge, more remarkable learning and research ability, greater innovation and most of all, resourceful social network, all of which make them more qualified and competent for their task. I've done it hundreds of times." You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.14 pointsAs is shown in the chart above, the unemployment rate in American society remained high in 2010. nonetheless, people with better educational background seemed to suffer less from unemployment, for example, the unemployment rates of people with doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees are 1.9%, 4.4%, and 5.4% respectively. However, 9.2% of individuals with some college education but no degree and 10.3% of individuals with only high school diploma cannot find a job. Worst still, the unemployment rate of people without a high school diploma even reached 14.9%.In today’s fierce job market, getting a suitable job is becoming increasingly difficult, not to mention a well-paid one. I am convinced that the crux of this disturbing problem lies in the fact that job hunters do not possess the skills or knowledge the employers need. Therefore, they always fail in the job interviews. As we all know educational fees are high. Nevertheless, compared to the host of benefits education brings to students’ future, they seem nothing. Education is a worthy investment in every way. In conclusion, education pays.14These days, many kinds of goods tend to be excessively packaged, especially gifts. People seem to be more and more attracted to the beautiful decorations, rather than the commodity itself. There may be several reasons forthis phenomenon.Firstly, many consumers are not sensible enough. They are easily captured by the nice appearance of the goods they intend to buy. So the salesmen take it as a way to attract their potential consumers. Secondly, and more importantly, people today buy things not only for themselves, but also for their leaders, workmates, or friends. In this case, the quality and practical uses of the goods may give way to nice-looking packaging. As far as I’m concerned, excessive packaging is really an unnecessary waste. It is of no practical use, and people always throw its package away at once. So it is quite urgent to curb this kind of phenomenon. For the consumers, they need to be more sensible. And for manufacturers. What they should do is mot attract people with useless decorations, but provide commodities of better quality.14分档The humorous saying, “quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I’ve done it hundreds of times”, illustrates the astonishing yet common occurrence that many people try hard to give up a bad habit but in vain. They fail because they lack a strong will. In fact, nothing succeeds without a strong will.Take Thomas Edison for example. He is well known for his large number of inventions which were created through thousands of unsuccessful experiments. Had it not been for his strong will, he would have merely been wasting time and money achieving nothing. Not surprisingly, Edison’s perseverance is actually a common quality among successful people. As college students, we should bear in mind that a strong will helps set a clear goal for people and provide its owner with the motivation and encouragement in face of difficulties. Indeed, success goes to those who are equipped with a strong will. A man with a strong will is a man who cannot be defeated.11 pointsHave you noticed that nowadays, an increasing number of people attach more importance to gain a higher degree? According to an investigation about unemployment rat in 2010 made by US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the higher level of degree links to the lower rate of unemployment. For instance, the unemployment of doctoral degree was 1.9 percent, while the rate of high school diploma was 10.3 percent. The statistics show an obvious conclusion that education is a worthy investment. In order to gain a degree as high as possible, students have to experience a long struggling difficult time, working hard, with less entertainment. What’s more, some families have to pay a lot of money for their children’s education. It may be a heavy load for them. Luckily, all these payments will reward back some day.It is no denying that people with high degree can easily find a good job with higher pay, and accordingly they can acquire a better quality of life.11Nowadays, a lot of goods are excessively packaged. For example, it’s reported that for most mooncakes, the packaging cost is far more expensive than the product itself. The shopping preference of customers is to blame. Businessmen are aware that quite a few customers would like to buy products that look attractive, so they make their best satisfying the desire. Moreover, some people use the excessively packaged products as gifts, so in their minds, the more expensive the packaging is , the better they will impress the receivers. All of these lead to over-packaging.In my opinion, excessive packaging is such a waste. It will benefit nobody at all but do harm to the environment. Excessive packaging requires lots of natural resources, but when it is thrown away, it goes back to the environment as pollution. So I strongly support the government releasing banning law on this issue. Besides, we customers should change our shopping taste for a green one. When there is no need, there is no producing. 11’As a humorous saying goes, “quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I’ve done i t hundreds of times.” This is, of course the face, but it also tells us that without strong will, nobody can achieve success. No matter what way you choose, you will surely meet many difficulties. Life is not only filled with victory. Take the saying for example again. Once you start quit smoking, you will face a difficult choice very time others pass you a cigarette. Such a dilemma may make you pick your former habit if you don’t have a strong will. It is strong will that helps us overcome difficulties. Besides, strong will can make you know what you are seeking for.Madam Curie experienced many times of failure during her study on radium. Newton was regarded as a fool. They gain confidence, bravery and also achievements from their strong will.As you have seen, strong will plays an important role in life, so I say nothing succeeds without a strong will8 pointsEducation is a worthy investment. Unemployment rate in 2010 shows that people’s education level decides whether he gets a job. From the report, the top 3 unemployment people are no-degree people. There are someone who are less than a high school diploma, who are educated from high school, who are educated from college. The unemployment rate of less than a high school diploma is 14.9%, but the rate of Doctoral degree people only is 1.9%.Why does the education level decide the employment rate? Because people get the high education. If someone learn in a high school, he just learn some basic subjects include math, basic language and so on. But if someone learn in a university, he will learn some particular subjects include computer program, mechanical design, management and so on.Of course, the education level is not the only reason for getting a good job. But it is an important basic condition. More and more company make it as the first condition.8’Recently, there are many goods are excessive packaging in the shops and markets. Especially the people would like to celebrate traditional festivals more and more. And the goods are more excessive packaged. So, why do we always see the excessive packaging? I think it is up to us. Today, the development of our society are witnessed by ourselves. People would like to see beautiful things and royal things. That is the main reason why the excessive packaging appears everywhere. On the other hand, the sellers wants to sell good price so they package the goods excessive that they can have more money. In my opinion, the excessive packaging is a normal thing. People like beautiful and expensive packaging to give to their families and friends. Because it looks like very good, the people who you give would feel happy. But we should save some money. If everyone wants to save money, will the excessive packaging appear?8’As is known to all, where there is a will, there is a way. However, there are also many people fail to achieve their dream. Many people will say, it’s because they have not good condition or they have not luck chance. In fact, they just have not the strong will to succeed.Take quitting smoking for example. It has been a world-wide problem that thousands of millions people’s health is been destroyed by smoking. At the same time, we always see many people who have taken action to quit smoking but fail in the time. Because they can’t forget the feeling of smoking, and they have not strong will to insist it. Only if the one who has strong will, will he succeed in quitting smoking. To conclude, no pains, no gains. We will have our dream come true by our strong will, and nothing succeeds without a strong will.5 pointsAccording to the chart above, we can easy find out education pays become a problem in social. Education you get more, unemployment rate is less. The doctoral degree is only 1.9 unemployment, the master degree more than doctoral degree. So it seems education is a worthy investment. Why we should go to school? The reason is made of the future job, learning knowledge, making friends andso on, but the most important reason find a good job lead to earning more salary and own better life. Simply, education is a worthy investment. Our parents indeed hope that we would success in some ways, they spend money and time in us to get to school. In a word, on our way of grow up, we should take more efforts on studying relate to our future. Moreover, we can work according interests and face our parents to choose the solution that we indeed love.5’There is a question that many things have been packaged more than which there need today. Such as our moon cakes, comic books. People put them in many boxes which colourful. These boxes are unnecessary. This problem called an excessive packaging. As we know, colourful and pretty things can always get more people attention and prefer. The things we bought which have more package, we think these are more expansive and have more wealth. To people’s need, we make the package heavier and heavier. Times by, the package is more than it excessive actually. This question can cause many problems like envirnment pollution. Because we need trees to make boxed which used to package. As long as I think, we buy things just want to get them work, many packages are unnecessary. If we can stop excessive packaging, the envirnment problem will less and less, we will use few money also.5’“Quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world, I’ve done it hundreds of times.” It’s a humorous saying. but actually the true is serious and difficult. As everybody know, “Rome was not built in one day. Before it became Romer, there was a long way to though. Whether you can arrive the final place, it depends on whether your heart deeply stick with a strong will.Numbers of successful people in history depressed ours by what they do. We look up them, listen their stories but we must know everyone succeed had a strong will when they were young. What we need to do is this confirm what your goal is, make it a will and pay for it with your action. Don’t give up any time you were tried and worried. Practice makes perfect, you can get rid of the inconfidence by doing all right things.Nothing succeeds without a strong will. The will needn’t so big but so strong.2 pointsWe are tell you a worthy Investment unemployment rate in 2010. let me looks US Bureau of Labor statistic.First, Doctoral degree in the 1.9 present Master’s degree in the 4.0 present. We are knows Master’s degree than Doctoral degree 2.1 present. Bachelor’s degree 3.8 present. High school diploma is 10.3 present less than a high school diploma 14.9 present. In the chart, some school, no degree, is very secret than some of the resolution than many of us Doctoral degree many of tem are likely the same resolutions that we abandoned lost. Bachelor’s degree less than a high school diploma present is very high.We are not forght every ploment I’ve met many impassioned in the school. The authors of the study speaked that the level because of a worth Investment.2’Now, the Excessive packaging more thing. I think people looking this excessive packaging is because they love beautiful. So they think must will excessive packaging. But I think this is a misstake. Because people will that not must excessive packaging. I belive they always look self misstake. But they sometimes not think. Because they has more money, they not can this money. If they has small money, that always is must money. So theyself look is a more money or small money question. But, that is misstake. Because they if looking theyself feel, not looking people feel, that they will not can people love. They will not can country love. But I think, if they can’t excessive packaging, that they will can people and country love. So, when they hason excessive packaging, they can more people love.In the end, I think people can’t have misstake.2’Why the some people nothing succeeds without a strong will? In my view they are not hard go to something. On the one hand they are not ability. On the other hand they are not to face they myself. in other words they are not to run the dream, as we all know, have dream people can be succeeder, in my view, it is necessary for us to do the dream. The more nothing succeeds the more not dream. We are not only deriver dream but also go to hard, this is there we are have succeeds. if the one on the humorous “quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I’ve done it hundreds of times” we are have to succeeds. All in all, we are not the dream, we are have to fair, generally speaking the people go to the dream, we are know.评分原则四级作文题采用总体评分(global scoring)方法.阅卷人员就总的印象给出奖励分,而不是按语言点的错误数目扣分.从内容和语言两个方面对作文进行综合评判.作文应表达题目所规定的内容,而内容要通过语言来表达.要考虑作文是否切题,能否充分表达思想,也要考虑语言上的错误是否造成理解上的障碍,用词和造句能否清楚而确切地表达思想.1. 短文写作部分满分为15分。
