But I think you did better than I.但是我认为你做得比我更好。
Michael did best of all.迈克尔是所有人中做得最好的。
这三个句子中的well,better,best都是副词,作动词did的状语。
better,best分别是well的比较级和最高级形式。
3.Practice makes perfect.熟能生巧。

around the world=all over the world=throughout theworld 全世界E.g:那是众所周知的It is known around/throughout /all over the world.2. ...,there are two or more courses for every meal and peopleuse knives and forks to eat. ......,每顿饭有两道或两道以上的主菜,人们用刀叉吃饭。
course可数名词,意为“一道菜”。
E.g:主菜是烤鸭。

pick up拿起,捡起;接某人;取某物;搭便车。
E.g:电话铃响了,我拿起了话筒。

Would ou mind if we learn to make it from you ?--- Of course not …功能:向他人征求允许11).Would you please ……? 你可以……吗?Sure ……当然4.语法GrammarIf/weather 引导的宾语从句I don't know if it is polite in Japan.我不知道在日本这样是否礼貌。
这是由if引导的宾语从句,if意为“是否”,不能省略。
if和whether 都可以引导宾语从句,意为“是否”,两者通常能互换,但不可省略。
从句表一般疑问的意义。
E.g:我不能确定明天是否有空闲。
I'm not sure if I will be free tomorrow.◆理解以下句子:1. I don’t know if/whether I need to obey all the ruleswhile I’m having dinner with my friends.2. Could you tell me if/whether it’s polite to speakloudly at the table?3. I don’t know if/whether you are right.附:由连词That 引导的宾语从句That 只起到连接作用,在口语中常省略E.g. I think (that) he’ll be all right in a few days.注意宾语从句的引导词,时态,语序等时态:(1)主句使用现在时时,从句允许使用任何时态E.g I think you are right. ( )I’m sure he will come tomorrow. ( )I know he was here yesterday. ( )(2) 主句使用过去时,从句须使用过去时态的某种形式(过去时,过去完成时,过去进行时等)。
E.g I didn’t think he was here yesterday.(3) 如果从句陈述的是客观真理,事实,自然状况,时态用一般现在时。
