本册教材主要有Park,Shopping,English Festivals,English Birthday,Possession,Sports,help,School,Feelings and good Habits 十个话题。

二、学生分析本册书的教授对象是小学五年级的学生,他们已经学习了四年半的英语。
他们对英语学习有一定的兴趣,并具备一定的英语知识,也具有了一定的自学能力和语言组织能力,但是在灵活应用上还有欠缺;这一年龄阶段的孩子好胜心强,集体荣誉感也强,因此在设计上应采用任务型教学从听说入手,创设情景,设计游戏、歌谣,激发学生学习兴趣;所设计的内容面向全体学生,由易到难,让学生在愉快的氛围中从不同程度得到提升.从而达到培养学生综合运用语言能力的目的,激发学生对英语学习的兴趣,增强自信心。
