托福考试写作练习及精选范文(26)TPO 35Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In twenty years there will be fewer cars in use than there are today.Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.文章:The Earth today faces many problems. Among these problems, the top three, i n some people's perspective, are probably global warming, pollution and energy crisis. All three, if we really look into them, can be connected with the perva sive use of private cars. It is because of this, I agree with the statement tha t there will be fewer cars in twenty years comparing with today.First of all, people will definitely use fewer cars. If we look at the glob al media, we are seeing an increasing consciousness on environmental problems. Be it the famous documentay by Al Gore, An Inconvenient Truth, or the "Earth On e Hour" movement. They all indicate a global consensus: "We need to help the en vironment". So what's the easiest way to help? Using fewer cars. According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Environmental Conservation in China, more than 40 percent of carbon dioxide produced by individuals are from private cars. If the trend of eco-friendly consciousness continues to grow in the next 20 ye ars, people will, without a doubt, use fewer and fewer cars. So, in a nutshell, the first reason why people will drive less in twenty years is because they wi ll be more environmentally-concerned.Another key aspect is that, in twenty years, there will be fewer people in the world. If there are fewer people in the world, of course there will be fewe r cars. If we are sensitive to global trends, we can see that a lot of countrie s in the world are facing a decrease in population. The biggest contributors to population growth, China and India, are also experiencing a decrease in the ra te of population increase. In 20 years, I am confident that there will be, without a doubt, fewer people in the world. In this case, there will be a decrease in the needs of transportation. So, it is logical to assume that there will be fewer cars in the world twenty years from now.A final argument I want to make is based on the ever developing technology. In the past twenty years, we have seen tremendous innovations taken place in t he field of transportation. From high-speed trains to cars that run on electric, there is simply no telling what might happen twenty years from now. Considerin g how much we have achieved in the past twenty years, it is not so improbable f or me to say that we might not even need cars in the near future. Who's to say that we won't be traveling on more efficient vehicles? Or maybe public transpor tation may become so convenient that we won't even consider using private trans portation ever again? The fact is, we cannot deny these possibilities for they are very likely to happen. In this light, I am definitely supportive of the vie w that there will be fewer cars in the future. From my arguments above, I think I am very optimistic about the future. I b elieve that, in twenty years, we will be living in a society with much fewer ca rs. And I am looking forward to that future.。

1. 【题目】Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is better to use printed material, such as books and articles, to do research than to use the internet.【参考内容】There is a debate over whether printed material or the internet is a better source for research. While some argue that printed material is more reliable, others believe that the internet provides more accessible and up-to-date information. In my opinion, using the internet is a better option for research for several reasons. Firstly, the internet provides a vast amount of information that is easily accessible. Unlike printed material that may require a trip to a library or bookstore, the internet allows users to access information from anywhere at any time. This convenience is especially beneficial for students and researchers who may need to quickly find information for an assignment or project. Additionally, the internet provides more up-to-date information compared to printed material. Books and articles may take months or even years to get published, which means the information they contain may become outdated by the time they reach the readers. On the other hand, the internet provides real-time information that is constantly being updated. This is particularly useful for areas such as science and technology, where new discoveries are made regularly.Furthermore, the internet allows for a more interactive and dynamic research experience. Unlike printed material, the internetprovides various multimedia resources such as videos, images, and interactive simulations. These resources can significantly enhance the learning experience and help researchers better understand complex concepts. Moreover, the internet allows users to connect with other researchers, join online forums, and share knowledge and ideas. This collaborative aspect of the internet promotes a broader scope of research and enables researchers to learn from one another. In conclusion, while printed material has its merits, such as reliability and tangibility, the internet offers more convenience, up-to-dateness, and interactivity, making it a better option for research. It is crucial for researchers to adapt to the digital age and take advantage of the vast resources available on the internet.2. 【题目】Some people believe that it's best to live in a small town. Others think that it's better to live in a big city.【参考内容】The debate between living in a small town and living in a big city has been ongoing for a long time. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, and the choice ultimately depends on anindividual's preferences and priorities.Living in a small town offers a sense of tight-knit community and tranquility that is often absent in big cities. People in small towns tend to know their neighbors and have strong social connections. The pace of life is generally slower, and there is less stress and traffic congestion. Small towns also offer natural beauty and a closer connection to nature, with more open spaces and green areas. On the other hand, big cities offer a multitude of opportunities and amenities that cannot be found in small towns. Cities are oftencultural and economic hubs, providing diverse employment opportunities and a vibrant social scene. They offer a wide range of entertainment options, such as theaters, museums, restaurants, and shopping centers. Additionally, big cities tend to have better healthcare and educational facilities, as well as better public transportation systems. Moreover, big cities offer a greater sense of anonymity and freedom. In a small town, everyone knows everyone else's business, which can lead to a lack of privacy. In a big city, individuals have more opportunities to reinvent themselves and pursue their interests without fear of judgment or scrutiny from others. In conclusion, the decision to live in a small town or a big city depends on an individual's personality, preferences, and goals. Some may prefer the warmth and closeness of a small community, while others may thrive in the diversity and excitement of a big city. Ultimately, it is important to choose a living environment that aligns with one's personal values and aspirations.以上是托福官方提供的部分写作题目的参考内容。

托福独立写作题目及范文:儿童教育It is better for children to choose jobs that are similar to their parents’jobs than to choose jobs that are very different from their parents’ jobs.分类: 独立写作话题: 父母、儿童教育、成长托福TPO26独立写作题目翻译子女选择的工作与父母相似比选择的工作与父母的大相径庭要更好。
审题关键词Children/parents, jobs, similar/different论证分析正:Finding a different job is beneficial to a person’s sustained academic development.正:Equally exciting is the increased professional possibilities for the family.正:Socially, the same job as mom and dad’s will only bring about the same social circle, just as different ages.TPO26独立写作范文:When choosing a life career, the advice of a parent can be quite decisive. Many parents encourage their children to live the life they themselves have only dreamed of, and try a very different job from their own. Nevertheless, in most cases, I believe it would be more beneficial for the child, the parent and the society alike if children followed in the footsteps of their parents when choosing a job.One of the most obvious reasons is that it paves a more convenient way to success for the children. Children who share similar occupations with their parents can at least inherit the experiences of the parent, which would save them much time and energy along the way. The parents, who have already had decades of trial and failure in the field, would have a clear idea of what kind of knowledge and quality is required for the job. In that case, they would be able to better prepare the children for the job, and give them helpfulsuggestions along their career development. Moreover, experience is not the only thing children can inherit from their parents. A businessman can provide his sona shortcut to success by leaving him an already well-run company, and apolitician can leave his children the connections they would need in order to win sufficient support.Another thing is that a similar career is likely to strengthen theparent-child bond. In such a fast-paced modernized world, parents often complain that they are losing their child to busy schedules and a digital social world they feel distant from. But generation gaps are easily bridged when parents can often exchange career ideas with their children. However different thelifestyles of two generations may be, the questions they have to face in a similar job can always be a good topic of conversation. Personally, I feel closest to my grandfather when he shares with me his frustrations and wisdoms ofreporting for a national newspaper before he retired, because I may come across similar challenges in my pursuit of a degree in journalism. He is the first person I turn to whenever I need professional guidance, and I feel like I can always trust him and count on him. It should work the same for mostparent-and-child relationships. As a career mentor, a parent can bond with the child in more profound ways.Last but not least, to choose a similar job as the parent is actually aconservation of social resources. As the parent can act as a career mentor for the child, the time and energy spent preparing the novice outside the home can be spared. People would go into the workforce with a rather comprehensive idea of what to expect, and start putting their knowledge and talent into rightful use as soon as possible.Given the three reasons I just illustrated, it can be a smart decision if children choose similar jobs as their parents. It would benefit their personal success, their family relationships, as well as the efficacy of the society.。

Does it have negative impacts on their lives?"To each his own," as the proverb indicates. This is applicable to the hobbies or interests one would spend time on pursuing. Some people however use too much time following their favorite sports teams either on TV or going to the stadium rooting up for their teams or buying team T shirts or caps. Does this have unfavorable impact on them? Yes, in my opinion, those people are negatively affected in their life.First, sports games last a long time and followers need to spend a great deal of time on the event. Although it is a great way to relax, followers will be addicted easily. They will watch these sports programs after finishing working, at night, or on the weekend. Some sports, such as football or tennis, consumes hours in regular conditions or longer in overtime games. In such condition, will the sports followers quit and go back to their work or study? No, of course. They might stay up late or postpone what they are doing for the game. No matter what the result is,they are affected in their life and may not be alert in doing their work. On the other hand, people who are not addicted to the sport can spend time doing other important things that benefit their lives and their plan, for work will have less chance of being interrupted.Second, sports lovers will try all the method to bolster their favorite team. In other words, they might need to spend money and be, sometimes, addicted to legal, but adverse habits. For example, some game cards provide bets as "non-profits" or "for-disabled" kind of charitable purpose. My male coworker, who loves to watch Euro football match, spent a lot of money for gambling. However, the chance to win is rare. Eventually, he had a huge debt because of gambling on his favorite sport: Euro football. In addition, following the favorite team on live competitions has the costs, such as paying for the ticket to the games, the cost of commuting, food, hotel and etc. This money needs to be deducted from savings and any budget that are prepared for their study or tuition.Admittedly, there are petty benefits watching or following their favorite teams on TV. For instance, when they watch the games, they shout out loud for their team, which is a great pressure reliever. In addition, watching sports are usually considered a group activity. In other words, they will enhance the relationship with their friends, colleges or family members when they enjoy and appreciate the sports together. However, either watching TV at home or physically attend the sports events is costly. Besides, they sit all day and eat all day during the event which is undoubtedly harmful to their health in the long run. Finally, everything has its downside. For the sports related activities,it will bring more negative impacts on people's life. As we usually hear from TV that the followers become violent when the team they support lose the game. The impacts are so profound that people might not be eager to fulfill their duties and they might need to spend a great deal of cash for this interest.第二套:综合写作1.阅读:marsupials不如placental mammals.适应性强。
