Unit1 How tall are you A Let’s learn
一、教学目标
本节课的主要目标是：
1. 学生能够听、说、读、写表示身高的单词和句型。
2. 学生能够用英语谈论身高。
3. 学生能够了解和使用形容词比较级。

四、教学过程
1. Warming-up
1. Greet the students and ask them how they are feeling today.
2. Ask the students how tall they are and write their names and
heights on the board.

2. Presentation
1. Present the new vocabulary: tall, short, taller, shorter.
2. Use the PPT to show pictures of people of different heights and
ask the students to describe them using the new vocabulary. 3. Demonstrate how to use the question “How tall are you?” and
model different responses.
Example:
Question: How tall are you?
Response: I am 120cm tall.
3. Practice
1. Have students work in pairs or small groups to practice asking and
answering the question “How tall are you?”
2. Encourage the students to use the new vocabulary in their
conversations.
3. Monitor the students’ conversations and provide feedback and
corrections as needed.
Example:
Student A: How tall are you?
Student B: I am 130cm tall. How about you?
Student A: I am 125cm tall. You are taller than me.
4. Extension
1. Introduce the concept of comparative and superlative adjectives
and demonstrate how to form them using tall and short as examples.

adjectives to compare the heights of people.
