本单元的话题是围绕“过去进行时”这一时态展开教学活动,在听说的过程中引入了本单元的主要语法--过去进行时态,并对这一时态进行了口语和听力的反复练习同时为本单元进一步学习打下基础。

本话题对学生生活的养成、社会习惯及家庭责任感的建立有一定的积极意义,同时学生学习家务劳动的表达以及如何委婉的提出要求和征询许可。
