作为城市志愿者服务模式的创新，深圳将在全市设立818个城市志愿者服务站（U站），其中68个将设在比赛场所和重要场馆。

U站的建设将充分体现绿色、低碳、简约、活力、环保、青春的元素，主要采用废弃集装箱改造而成。

大运会期间，U站将作为深圳义工的服务载体，大运会结束后，U站将继续保留，作为服务市民、服务城市、传播文化的载体，在社会管理工作方面发挥更大作用。
