数字语义的不确定性就是语义模糊现象， 在文学作品，尤其是在汉语文学作品中，这种 模糊现象很常见。这类数词的使用不仅可以增 强语言的表达能力，更可以文学作品的艺术想 象空间。 汉语文学作品中这类数字大都具有一定的 民族文化背景和特定的语言表达习惯，英译时 大都采用意译的方式，舍弃原文中的数字；如 果直译，由于文化背景的不同和表达习惯的差 异，会使英语读者难于理解，甚至译文语句不 顺、语义不明。
