我们今天的嘉宾是布莱恩博士。
她写过好几本有关幸福以及人们为了使自己保持幸福所做的事的书。
布莱思博士,谢谢您参加我们今天的节目。
布莱恩博士:谢谢您的邀请。
今天,我来谈谈如何寻找幸福。
主持人:我知道,您经常以体操运动员桑兰为例来告诉人们,即使遭遇个人灾难时,也能找到幸福。
布莱恩博士:是的,别人以为你会很伤心,但你却生活得很幸福,桑兰就是一个非常好的例子。
在事故发生之前,我们都知道桑兰是一个年轻快乐的姑娘,在体育方面有骄人成绩。
在她受伤住院期间,世人都为她依然开朗的样子感到惊讶。
如今,她在实现较小目标的过程中、从周边人对她的爱中找到了幸福。
主持人:嗯,或许我们有些观众还不知道桑兰的故事,您能为我们简单介绍一下桑兰吗?布莱恩博士:当然可以。
桑兰于1981年出生在中国的宁波市,六岁时就开始学习体操。
到参加纽约友好运动会的体操锦标赛的时候,桑兰已经当了十一年的体操小将了。
桑兰最拿手的项目一直是跳马。
自1991年她就开始在多次比赛中获胜,并且一直刻苦训练。
她的队友们说她精力充沛、快乐、刻苦。
尽管参加训练意味着她不能和父母住在一起,她还是全身心地投入到体操中。
桑兰知道,在那些年里,自己正朝一个特别的目标奋斗,她在让她的父母在为她骄傲。
然而,1998年在友好运动会上进行跳马练习时出的一起小事故,原本可能会把她未来的幸福化为泡影。
一位教练改变了设备安放的方式,当桑兰意识到这一变化时为时已晚。
她一头栽到了体操垫子上,颈骨折断。
她被紧急送往纽约市的一家顶级医院。
来自世界各地的许多专家说,由于伤势严重,她将永远无法行走了。
主持人:这对她来说想必无法承受,她肯定是非常伤心。
布莱恩博士:事实并非如此,这正是她的故事为何如此特别。
见过她的每个人,从医院的护士到前往医院探访、给她鼓励的名人,如电影((泰坦尼克号》的主演莱昂纳多·迪卡普里奥等,都说她精神状态良好。
桑兰懂得,对很多人来说,幸福的秘诀在于欣赏生活中美好的东西,集中精力实现自己的目标。
所以,桑兰并没有为失去的一切啼天哭地,感到绝望,她想到的是她能做什么以使自己好起来。
她住院期间,队友们继续比赛。
队友们前往医院看望她,跟她讲述他们的成功时,她为队友们感到高兴。
当医生告诉她,她再也不能当体操运动员时,桑兰能够以为自己业已取得的成绩感到骄傲和自豪这种方式而战胜悲痛。
她庆幸自己仍然活着,庆幸自己未来还有余生学习新东西。
主持人:这真让人惊叹,布莱恩博士。
这件事发生时她多大?布莱恩博士:她当时只有17岁。
主持人:那桑兰是如何适应新生活的呢?布莱恩博士:她适应得非常好。
她回到中国,2007年毕业,获北京大学广播专业学位。
她也主持过一档有关2008年北京奥运会的体育节目,目前继续是电视上的活跃人物。
然而,她的主要目标是呼吁给予残疾人更好的治疗。
她说她喜欢进取。
她也相信,忙碌有助于她保持积极乐观的状态。
主持人:我希望我们的所有观众都受到了桑兰的鼓舞! 我觉得她的勇气令人钦佩。
我知道,以后每当我感到生活难以忍受时,我都会想一想桑兰是如何重建生活的。
M6U2 Project黄金岁月回想我在英格兰乡村上学的岁月是一件愉快的事。
那时候,我身边尽是朋友,不乏家人的鼓励和指导。
我的整个生活还在前面等着我。
在人生的那个阶段,我本可以干任何事或成为任何人。
我觉得上学的那些黄金岁月是我一生中最幸福的时光。
我记得,有时候感觉到有一种恨不得一下子就长大并独立的冲动,但我仍然非常开心。
我生活中没有任何烦恼。
我可以把整天时间都花在外面,在阳光下和朋友们玩耍,我们总是有谈不完的趣事。
在家里,所有的大事由父母操心。
我要做的事就是上学,以及回家后再学习几个小时。
在周末,为寻找乐趣,我可以去看朋友、拜访我的祖父母、看书或者参加体育活动。
作为一个天真的孩子,我不必思考各种困难,比如工作上的各种问题,也没有必要为收入担忧,或是担心如何照顾家庭。
我要做的一切就是享受我的少年时光。
年轻人应切莫忘记,健康的身体是幸福的重要组成部分。
