S:T:“Now you can find the answers here. Please read the text by yourselves first. Then I’m going to ask you some questions based on your readings.”教师给出一部分时间让学生看。
T:“What is science about? In what areas can science help us? (Space travel, environmental protection, living better, weather, food, clothes, work and transportation etc.)What do scientists do?”S:学生可以根据这些问题进行问答。
(We should all study science. Science can make our life easy. Why does a pilot need to learn some science? )T: “Just now, we asked about certain persons. What other persons should study science? Can you talk in groups and find out who else needs to study science?”三:New words板书:explain, extinct, medicine, scientist, pilot, nurse, engineer, astronaut, plants, pupils学习这些单词,讲解这些单词的意思以及发音。

四:Look and say:1教师让学生四人一组展开讨论,还有哪些人也需要了解科学等,如a bus driver(learn how to save more fuel), sports player(how to run faster without hurting legs), a dancer(how to dance beautifully), a singer(how to keep the voice clear, nice and solid), a painter(how to use the oil paints)etc. )T:“Is there anyone living in t his world who doesn’t need to know something about science?”S:“No, there isn’t. Everybody needs to learn science.”(适当引导学上说)2 T: Now listing the tape and follow it.(有些难的句子,老师可以让学生先听再跟读)3然后两两问答。

在做练习前,教师可以问大家:“Do you use email to send letters? Who is now using emails? Which is better, using emails or using letters? Why?”教师可以引导大家进行简单的讨论,1听录音回答问题:What is the boy dong?Why doesn’t the boy give his friend a call?2 跟录音读对话。
学生分角色朗读。
三:Practice:T: Now this part is make sentences. First I’ll show you a module The weather makes us happy. (老师给学生5分钟准备,然后鼓励学生,请学生举手说出自己的句子)T: Who want to try? Please put you hand up!S: The news makes him sad.S: The noise makes us unhappy.四:Practice:1 老师将几个生单词板书:tights belt soap mechanic circus ambulanceT: Now read after meS:请小组分别朗读。
2 让学生两两进行讨论,将答案写在书上。
3 老师讲解黑板上单词的意思,用英语讲解,这样有助于他们很好的理解单词的意思。
