The diffierent education culture between America and China Sapir ever said:”Culture may be defined as what a society does and thinks.Exactly,Different history produced the different thinks and does,and so ,produced different culture.Cultural differernce contained many sides. The education difference is one of the most important side of culture.Education has two aspects:school education and family education,and the school education has four phases: kindergarden，primary school，secondary school and the higher edccation. Every phases is absolutely necessary, but I think the family education and kindergarden phases are important than the others. Because the childhood is the most important period of children to product the interests of the world. And it contribute to children’s value and what they will be in future. Because of the very different education culture, the method of educate children in kindergarden is also very different. American and Chinese education have different emphasis.Kindergarden education In Chinese kindergarden, the children who have good performances would be praised by teachers, and the children who don’t have good performances would be criticed. The former children could get some awards and teachers’ especial attention, for example,they will be awarded red flowers and more attention than the latter.The kindergarden will give extra award to the children who get a high degree in final text.And the parents are pround of their children’s achievements,on the contrary,the parents are shameful of their children’s performance who get low degree.For Chinese people,the interests of the collectivity is the most important.one must be obey the union.If a child has some behaviours which are not fit with the collectivity,he or she would be blamed and be treated as a spccial child.As the prevorb:a man would learn his or her company’s characters.So there are not children willing to play with the special child ,and the special child must be lonely.For this reason,teachers would be talk to the special child’s parents and the parents would educate their child what he or she can do and not until the child change his or her characters.In addation,both teachers and parents like the children who are obeyed and dislike the children who can’t adjust to others. In the class,teachers encourage children to do one thing for a long time to product children’s patience and main course are more difficulty than American.Because of the different culture, teachers and parents in China lay stress on the result rather than the process,and they more willing to the children to master a skill on studying.In American kindergarden, teachers never comment every child’s performances which is one of the different from Chinese.In American culture, it’s unfair to others children if a teacher praise a child,and it’s hamful to children’s positivity if a teacher blame them.In American culture,they stress on special characters .It’s very important to children that they should have different characters from others,and teachers always arrange children to do what they want to.What theydo are all for protecting children’s nature and produce various characters’ children.In American class,course are easy and children can talk to each other even play and quarrel which are unthinkable in pared to Chinese education,American education are stress on producting the childrens’imagination and curiosity ,so teachers don’t encourage children do one thing for a long time.In addition,they don’t think that the results are important than process,which is on the contrary with Chinese culture.Because of the different culture,American teachers think that Chinese class is stiff and have no vitality .Chinese teachers think that children can’t master the skill of studying in American class.Family education In Chinese families,parents are children’s boss and parents may decide what their children are in future. And majority of parents think that their children should be in the lead in star line,so they send their children to various classes,such as music ,drawing,English and so on,which result in Chinese children don’t have a happy childhood,because they have too much homework to do.Especially in modern time,many Chinese family only have one child,so the only children would be spoiled by several families,and the only child should be achieved the families’ goals.because of spoiled,many Chinese children can’t do some work by themselves and they are relied on their parents too much.And that because Chinese children have heavy homework and extra interest class homework and their parents are both busying with work to support their families,the children go to the park rarely,which result in they must be stay at home and have no chance to make friends with others.It’s no wonder that Chinese children don’t have happy childhood.But without a doubt,Chinese education have its advantages on some aspects,for example,children learn more knowledge than American children.In American families,children are not parents’ subordination.On the contrary, the relationship between parents and children is pared with Chinese children,American chileren have plenty of time to play.Parents would play with their children in the garden after school,and take them to the park or play field usually.So the children can keep in touch with surroundings.Not only can they make friends with others,but also they can produce curiosity to the world.Possibly,they will be full of interest to explore what they want to.One of another different on family education is that American children have choice on extra interest class.They can decided what they learn by themselves and parents would not force their children to do what they don’t want to and just give their suggest.Generally speaking,America education is stress on creating imagination and curiosity to make children study by interest.But the disadvantage is they learn less knowledge in childhood.Primary school education In Chinese primary school,the students have classes in the morning and afternoon on work day.And they have much homework every night,so they need study the whole day.On the weekend days,they need to attent all kinds of interest classes.So they have little time to play.In American primary school,there are only have half day’s course,and the rest of the day is all kinds of activities.The student can take part in the activities theylike.After school,they have little homework,only a little.On the weekend days,parents maybe take them to the cinema or travel and so on.Secondary school education Secondary school contains the middle school and the high school.In China,the secondary school period is the busiest period.Students have a mass of classes and homework.They spend plenty of time on doing exercise,and they have little time in the lab.Especially in high school,students need do exercise about one year.They don’t have enough time to sleep and to play as much as they like is just a dream,because they have to attend the college entrance examination.If they want to pass into a college or university,they must attach importance to the examination.In America ,they spent only a little time on reviewing the knowledge they have learned.And that they have plenty of time to practice.In addition,because of they the examination several times,so they don’t have pressure for Chinese students.And they have many activities to enjoy themselves as much as they like.Higher edccation Higher education contains the college education and university education.In China,if a student want to pass into a upper-level university,he or she must get a high degree in the college entrance examination.So the one year’s review is necessary in high school.And that the students must fill out his or her choice on profession when apply for acolleges and universities.But students can change their profession if they really don’t their choice.Chinese higher education is relaxed,and it’s easy to students to graduate.Due to the reason of above,some students are lazy during university,and some students achieve their goals.In America,students need not make a choice about profession before they attend university,what they need to do is apply for the university they want to.During the former one year,they need not care about profession.They chose the profession on the second depend on their interest.In America,the university students are busy,they need do much practice and are ready to graduate.There is an obvious difference between Chinese and American higher education:in China,about 80 percent students chose science.But in America ,it’s only 20 percent,because of they think science is too hard.Both Chinese and American education have it’s own advantages and disadvantages.Chinese students are more stiff than Americans’.Lacking imagination and creative ability are the most weakness.For American students,their advantages are imagination and creative ability,but they have not master basic knowledge,which is have bad influence to research.Our great leader ever said:A nation which has creative ability is the hopeful nation.So the importance of creative ability is self-evident.Childhood is the most important period during the whole life.Children are full of curiosity at this time ,so we should keep children’s nature.We need to learn American advantages on education to train children on imagination and creative ability.Because the children are the hope of
