Unit7 Shanghai Is in the Southeast of China 教学内容与目标【内容来源】陕旅教育出版社六年级下册Unit7【单元总目标】本单元的教学内容重点围绕方位展开，引导学生逐步学习8个表达方位的单词，并学习描述某个地点所处的地理位置。
本单元对于地理知识尚不完善的孩子们来说是个难点，教师在教学中应注意激发学生的学习兴趣，从学生的生活经验出发，充分利用孩子们所处的位置和周围熟悉的环境以及地图等工具在教学中直观地引导学生了解地图方向的标识（上北下南，左西右东）、中国领土的区域划分和名胜古迹等。
教师还应在教授语言知识的同时，尽可能地带着学生领略一些自然风光和著名的景点，以丰富学生的视野、唤醒学生潜在的学习动力，使之能积极地投入学习，同时进一步了解地理知识。
教师在设计活动时，应充分考虑到学生已有的认知水平，在此基础上适当拓展语言。
本单元的主要功能结构有：Hainan is in the south of China. It’s too hot in summer. How about Shanghai? It’s in the southeast. It’s by the sea and it is not too hot. Great. There are many places of interest ... 要求学生能熟记单元词汇，并能与实际生活场景相结合，准确地表达方向，能理解并熟练运用本单元的功能语句完成会话及相关的语用练习。
本单元的教学分为4个课时。
第一课时以Part A中Let’s learn部分8个表示方向的单词教学为主，要求学生能准确描述某个地点所处的地理位置；第二课时主要学习Part A中Let’s talk部分的对话，理解掌握对话内容，并能运用功能结构谈论自己的出行计划，进行语用练习；第三课时主要学习Part B的Let’s learn more部分，通过语篇学习进一步加强和拓展运用本单元功能语言，学习制定旅行计划；第四课时进行单元复习巩固，完成本单元Part B部分的语音知识学习及Part C部分的综合练习，对学生的掌握情况进行检测。
