二、课时安排三、分课时教学设计第一课时(Period 1)【单元课前预习】1.采访4人小组中的每位同学,准备好课上汇报。
可采用以下表格收集记录采访到的信2.鼓励学生在课前查找资料,准备常见的或特殊的收藏品或有关收藏的故事,并在课前预习单上写下回答用于课堂分享(课前预习单如下图所示)。

1.看图回答。
教师引导学生完成第116页活动1的填空练习,从而引入单元话题,让学生了解一些常见的收藏品。
教师在PPT上展示四张图片,提问:What do these children collect?学生使用第116页活动1方框内的单词或短语进行简略回答即可。
2.学生开展“头脑风暴”,运用“Do you collect ...? / Yes, I collect ... What about you?”等句式,分组讨论自己的收藏爱好。

Unit8 单元教材分析整个单元以谈论“生日”为主线,将12个月份的名称、序数词的学习融入到一系列的小任务中,学生通过询问对方的生日来完成一个最终的目标,即学会应用日期的表达方法。
其中Section A主要以When is your birthday?为线索,重点呈现日期的表达,包括12个月份的名称及序数词的学习。
第二部分扩展到When is Alice’s birthday?继续学习与巩固日期的表达法,最后以调查其他同学的生日和年龄的活动形式结束。
所以A部分的教学设计以循序渐进的教学方法,兼顾了听、说、读、写各种能力的培养,但重点放在听和说上。
Section B是在已有的基础上进行拓展和延伸。
同时从听说训练转向读写能力的培养上。
Self check是课后的自我检测,首先是对本单元所学字汇的检测,其次是文化知识的拓展,了解一些节日的日期。
单元教材设想思路一:在选择引入上,我采取了布置课前任务的方式,让学生去查找一些有趣的节日名称和它们的日期,通过不同月份不同日期的节日,让学生熟悉并掌握月份和到30的序数词单词。
并在这时引人新的疑问词“when”,通过“When is New Year’s Day?” 等节日的询问,让学生对该疑问词的运用达到熟悉的要求。
同时对节日的英文名称进行介绍,并适当进行扩展,引起学生的兴趣。
思路二:当学生对月份和日期掌握之后,继续引入本单元的主题—询问生日。
由于这时候学生已经熟悉疑问词和日期的表达,只需将之前的节日替换成birthday他们便能了解,此时再运用“When is your birthday?的重点句型让他们互相询问,并写下他们所询问同学的生日,再分两种形式进行反馈式对话形式,以“—When is your birthday? —My birthday is ...”的句型进行;二是汇报形式,以“His/Her birthday is…”的句型进行。
此时进行听力练习,让学生锻炼听力并核对自己的发音。
Lesson Plan of Unit 8 When is your birthday?(The Second Period)一.Text Analysis:Part 2a—2d and Grammar Focus of Section A will be covered in the second period.In the first period,the students have learnt the twelve months of the year and the simpie dialogues about asking and answering the birthday dates.In this period,the students will learn the ordinal numbers from 1st to 31st by looking at a big wall calendar and listening to the conversation of 2b.The key function is to talk abou t people’s birthdays.The activities in this period oral,listening practice of the target language.二.Teaching Goals:1.The students will be able to talk about the dates,such as February28th,September 2nd and so on.2.The students will be able to talk about their own birthdays and theirclassmates’ and parents’,They will be able to use the useful structures,such as “When is yours bithday? My birthday is Novermber 11th. When is Liu Ping’s birthday? Her birthday is March 3rd. When is your father’s bithday? 在通过抽卡片拼写单词的游戏,让学生数量巩固所学十二个月的读写,为本节讲学的对话打好基础。
Step 2:Lead-in and presentation.( 15 minutes )1)In Unit 7 ,the students have learnt the cardinal numbers.So ask them tocount from one to thirty-one as a warming-up.2)The teacher takes out a wall calendar and says,“There are thirty-one daysin a month.Sometimes there are thirty days.February has only 28 or 29days.”The teacher points at the calendar about January and says,“This is thefirst day in January.This is the second/third/fourth/···day in January.”3)Help the students to say the ordinal numbers.And also help them find outthe spelling regularity.4)Theteacher writes them on the blackboard.Ask the students to pay moreattention to these words:first,second,third,fifth,eighth,ninth,twelfth,twentiethand thirty-first.Then teach:twentieth/thirtieth/fortieth/···/ninetieth.5)Sum up and remember the spelling regularities:基变序很容易,第一二三无规律,first`second`third要紧记,其他词尾加th,但第八少个t,第九减去e,第五第十二同ve,ve要用f替,从第二十到九十,改y为i,再加eth别忘记,第几十几的只把个位基变序。
【设计说明】通过看挂历上每月的日期由复习基数词自然过渡到学习序数词,学生头脑中有一个很强烈的对比。
再由老师引导观察板书在黑板上的序数词,帮助学生归纳总结序数词拼写规律。
这样能迅速激发学生学习兴趣,使他们省时高效记住这些序数词。
Step3:Listen and talk.( 5 minutes )1)Listen and repeat.Ask the students to listen to the recording and repeat each ordinal numberin 2a,Section A.Help them correct their pronunciation.2)Listen and talk.Play the recording several times.Ask the students if there are any numbersthat they find difficult to pronounce and work on theae separately.3)Talk.Ask the students to answer these questions.Then ask them to ask eachother these queations in Pairs.a)What is the first/second/third/···/twelfth month of the year?b)What is the month before/after December/···/January?【设计说明】通过听录音重复这些序数词,学生能标准地读出来,让别人听得懂。
然后又通过回答那两个问题,让学生把刚学到的序数词加在表月份的名称里进行应用,体现了学习语言就是要“学以致用”的宗旨。
