使用法语和英语两种语言，有了交传译员。 1926年：IBM发明了同传设备，被认为是口译史上最重要
的发明。 1945年：纽伦堡军事法庭审判，使用了英法德俄四种语言，
会上大规模使用同声传译。 1947年：联合国采纳同传。 1971年：中国重返联合国，中国的口译活动增加。 改革开放之后：口译活动得到快速发展，多以交传为主。 20世纪90年代后期开始：中国的大型国际会议增多，同传

Short-term Memory Training
记忆
记忆包括输入、储存和重现三个过程， 一般可分为瞬时记忆(instant memory)、 短时记忆和长时记忆0.25秒至2秒，之后记忆的信 息便会消失，它是最短的记忆。做口译，要求译者“耳聪目 明”、反应迅速，其实就是强调译者要有瞬时获取信息的能 力，这也是口译人员需要具备的基本素质之一。
短时记忆训练的必要性
Daniel Gile 将连续传译的过程分成2个阶段： • 第一阶段 I=L+M+N I=口译；L=听取并分析源语信息；M=从听 到信息到以笔记形式存储信息所需的短时 记忆；N=笔记。
短时记忆训练的必要性
• 第二阶段 I=Rem+Read+P I=口译；Rem=从短期记忆中提取并解构 源语信息；Read=读取笔记；P=重新产出 译语信息。 Gile 强调短时记忆在同传或连传中都起着 非常重要的作用。因此，短时记忆训练应 成为译员培训的技巧之一。良好的记忆力 是口译训练必须具备的技能,也是口译能力 的前提条件。
一、信息视觉化和现实化训练 （Visualization）
• This is to visualize what the speaker is saying in interpretation. It is applicable to the retaining of information in such speech types as narration, description and introduction.
• 最后阶段：在这一阶段练习中可以把时间控制在 10分钟左右，但这一阶段的练习的经历就应该放 在内容的细节方面加强。试着努力地回忆起更多 的细节的东西，当然大的框架结构始终应该保证 的。上面提到的是基本的训练途径，始终建议同 自己的language partner进行训练，这样对于质量 评定上还有所掌握。因为本是自己在练习中存在 的错误自己不容易发现。如果是自己单独训练的 话则应该尽可能地遵循上述的一些大的原则前提 下，可以采用自己阅读复述，听新闻复述，阅读 复述等等。但在时间长短，难度以及训练时间上 应该遵循上面提高的规则，更有利于提高。

3.“快”这里的“快”包含几层意思。
1.是指反应快：译员要能听词取意，得“意”忘 “形”，快速理解讲话人的“真情实意”，反应迟缓 就无法胜任译员高强度的工作；
2.是指记笔记要快：译员不可能也不必记录下讲 话人的所有词句，而只需以快捷务实的方式记下一些 关键词、省略词、符号等，否则就跟不上讲话人的节 奏；

来表明中国走社会主义道路的决心：“不动摇、不懈
怠、不折腾”。其中“不折腾”的英文翻译难倒了不 少国内外翻译高手，有译成don’t flip flop（不翻来倒 去）或是（don’t toss）（不摇摆）的，有译成no trouble-making（不制造麻烦）、no major change （没有重大变化）或no dithering（不踌躇）的，也 有译成no self-consuming political movements（不高 自我消耗的政治运动），有译don’t sway back and forth（别反复）或是don’t get sidetracked（别走岔 路）的，也有译成avoid futile actions（不做无用功） 的，还有翻译成avoid self-inflicted setbacks（避免自 我造成的失败）的，buzheteng。

工作方法不同
口译员通常独自工作，口译时一般无法求助于他人，也 没时间查阅词典或其他材料。而笔译员则可以随时查阅 各种参考书，反复斟酌，也可请教相关领域的专家。
反馈形式不同
口译是现场的翻译活动。译员面对讲话人和听众，可以 随时从他们的面部表情、情绪、手势和其他身势语中接 收到反馈信息，译员可根据现场的情况和听众的反馈及 时调整自己的音量、语速、用词等。而笔译员在翻译过 程中一般没有机会与作者和读者面对面进行交流，也无 法根据他们的反馈进行调整和修改。

I. 口译与笔译的不同：
工作环境不同：
口译具有很强的现场性和时限性。口译员必须面对公众 现场翻译，而笔译的工作环境则无限制。口译一般有很 强的时限性，口译员一般不能对已经翻译过的内容进行 大量的更正和补充，除非发现重大错漏。而在笔译中， 译者大多有充足的时间反复阅读原文，翻译完初稿后， 还可以反复修改润色直到译者满意为止。

质量标准不尽相同
笔译讲究“信、达、雅”，口译则强调“准、顺、快”。“ 即准确，指准确理解原语信息并即时将其译成目的语。 “顺”即通顺，指译员在用目的语表达原语信息时要通顺 流畅，符合语言表达规范。“快”即译员反应要快，讲话 者的话音刚落，译员就要开始翻译。另外，口译质量的 判定还取决于参与交际的各方（如讲者、听者和雇主） 从各个角度所认定的交际效果。
