1.穿戴整洁，衣着得体对于初一年级的学生来说，他们富于憧憬与想象。
教师还没有进入教室之前，他们往往根据自己的期望在脑海里勾画着某门学科教师的轮廓与外貌特征，也就是说，他们在用自己提前划好的标准衡量着即将踏入他们的教室与即将踏入他们生活的教师形象。
在上第一节课前，老师最好是修饰一下自己，理理发，沐浴一下。
一是显得干净利索，二是显得对学生尊敬。

2.1介绍自我，增进了解初到一个新的环境，大多数学生之间并不认识，但他们有彼此认识的愿望。
结合教材和学生的实际，我这样进行了教学设计：先是用句式my name is ...进行了自我介绍，接着用句式what’s your name？问学生，连续几个之后，为了让学生练习这个句式，我让学生进行了连锁练习；待学生熟悉这个句式之后，我改用what’s his/her name？以同样的方式进行教学。
这一设计，既让学生练习巩固了知识，又增进了师生之间，学生之间的了解。
2.2多交流，增进师生感情最忌讳的是老师进入课堂就讲课，因为学生还不熟悉老师，对老师还有很多的神秘感，上来就讲课，学生也会因为学生对老师感兴趣的程度大于对教学内容的程度，导致教学效果不佳，所以，第一节课最好是不要讲课。
