1.How are you doing? = How are you? 你最近好吗？你怎么样？常用于熟人之间见面的问候。

类似的问候语还有：“很好”的回答可以是：Fine / Quite well, thanks. How's everything with you? 你的一切如何？“不好”的回答可以是：Not so well. / Really bad. How are things going? 事情进行得怎样?“一般般”可以说：Not so bad. How are you doing these days? 你最近怎么样？【链接】How are you? 意为“你好吗？”或“你好！”，一般用于普通朋友之间的见面问候，不必真正去回答。

“Fine, thanks”或者“I am fine, thanks. And you?”就可以了。

2.You look excited. 你看起来很激动。

look excited 意为“看起来很激动”，这里look是系动词，后面接形容词excited作表语，构成系表结构。

这种“系动词+形容词”的结构，我们通常称为“系表结构”。

即：系表动词（系动词+形容词）★状态系动词：be 例：I'm fine. 我很好He is excited. 他很激动持续性系动词：keep, stay, remain等例：The girl always keeps silent in class. 这女孩上课总是保持沉默。

系动词表像系动词：seem, appear等例：The doctor seems professional. 那医生似乎很专业。

感官系动词：taste, smell, look, sound, feel 例：Mary felt a bit tired.玛丽感到有点累变化系动词：turn, get, become, go等例：The food goes bad. You can't eat it. 这食物变坏了，你不能吃。

这是一个系表结构，即:连系动词(look )+形容词( excited)。

常见的连系动词可以分为以下两大类:(1)表示状态的连系动词:be(是)，look(看起来),sound(听起来),smell(闻起来),feel(摸起来，感觉)，taste(尝起来)，seem(似乎，好像),keep(保持),stay(保持)等。

如:My grandma is fine.我奶奶很好。

That cat looks very funny.那只猫看起来很滑稽。

The song sounds good.这首歌听起来不错。

The food smells nice.这食物闻起来香。

I always feel tired these days.这些天我总是感觉累。

Miss Tang seems very angry.唐老师好像非常生气。

Running is a good way to keep healthy.跑步是保持健康的一个好方法。

(2)表示动态的连系动词:get(变得)，turn(转变)，go(变)，become(变成) 等。

如:Spring is here; the weather is getting warmer andwarmer.春天来了，天气越来越暖和了。

When she saw the teacher coming into theclassroom,her face turned red at once.当她看见老师正走进教室的时候，她的脸立刻就变红了。

八年级英语下册Unit5 Topic 1 Section A 教学设计一、教学课题：Unit 5 Feeling Excited Topic 1 You look excited. Section A二、教学思路设计利用图片、多媒体、录音机等创设情景，帮助学生在设定的语言环境运用英语。

在具体教学过程中以学生为主体，采用对话教学策略，使他们在学习过程中主动地用英语表达，达到培养和强化学生的语言实践能力的目的。

三、教材分析本课是仁爱版八年级英语下册Unit5Topic1You look excited.的第一课时。

本课通过孩子们的对话，呈现了孩子们的高兴以及Mr.Brown没有买到票而失望，引出对话的主题：描述情感与表达对事物的感觉。

对话呈现了有关情感的形容词和短语，同时也呈现了交际功能用语：How are you doing? Very well, thank you.和What a pity! 帮助学生学会如何表达感觉和描述情绪。

要求学生在学会课本语言知识的同时，培养他们的互助互爱的精神，在能够正确处理个人情绪的同时帮助他人排解不良的情绪。

四、学情分析本人所教的八年级（1）班大多数学生为女生，少部分男生。

由于我校地处农村，这些学生当中绝大部分为农村留守儿童，性格比较内向。

学生英语接受和学习能力比较差，同时没有一个好的语言学习氛围和充足的教学资源，导致班内大多数学生英语基础知识较差，应用能力薄弱，尤其听说能力较差。

对于女生来说，语言类的科目相对掌握得比较好，大部分女生主观学习英语的愿望较强，能做好课前预习，课后复习。

八年级下学期所学的语法知识点比较多，导致部分学生产生了恐惧心理。

上课注意力不够集中，部分学生对英语失去学习兴趣。

大部分学生比较胆小内向，上课不敢积极发言。

因此，教师在教学中要培养学生学习英语的兴趣，针对不同层次的学生开展不同的教学活动。

这是一节阅读课，以本一家为主线，运用一般过去时描述其在一场暴风雨当中的经历。

从整体上看，Section A 首先通过语言输入及对话题的讨论到对词汇、短语等新语言知识的初步呈现，以及运用对话对Section A所学内容的综合运用，进而过渡到语篇阅读和书面表达的训练，最终将单元所学词汇及语法结构完全融合到阅读和写作交流之中，并结合新出现的语言内容进一步提高语言表达能力。

二、学情分析本课教学对象是初二年级学生，经过了初中近两年的学习，他们已经有一定的词汇积累，并具备了基本的阅读理解能力。

本班学生学习英语兴趣较浓，学习程度相对较好。

学生在Section A前半部分已经基本掌握过去进行时的表达方法，在篇章中理解和运用过去进行时以及描述过去发生的事情是本课的重点，且关于暴风雨的经历学生在实际生活中较为缺乏，因此要在教学中给学生创设出情景，鼓励他们表达。

三、教学目标：1.知识目标a. 学生能够熟练掌握教材中的“四会”单词、词组：wind, apart, wood, light, flashlights, candles, matches, die down。

b. 学生能够熟悉并正确运用过去进行时。

2.能力目标a. 学生能够运用过去进行时谈论文本中出现的活动b. 通过阅读训练，学生能够学会寻找中心句，利用scanning和skimming的阅读技巧提取语篇的重点信息。

3.情感目标a. 通过本课的学习，学生能够养成在危难中互帮互助的精神。
