篇一：应用文体翻译应用文体翻译·一、应用文体翻译的特点。

应用文体最基本的特点是“用”，另外应用文体往往对象明确，时间性强、报启示，都属于应用文体的范围，而常见的应用文体有书信（包括e-mail）、评论的翻译、出国留学信函、公告、通知、规章、法令、广告、启事、契约、合同、公函、私信等。

因为它们固定的格式和明确的交际目的，对于应用文体的翻译不能像翻译小说、散文等纯文学语言形式那样去传达某种思想感情，它是以传递信息为主，且实用性、规范性极强，即要“务实”。

这是由它们形式的格式化要求的。

这个格式是人们在长期使用中习以为常、约定俗成、自然而然形成的。

二、应用文体翻译的就业方向和前景。

想获得高薪或好的笔译工作，需要积累一定的客户资源和需要一定的笔译经验，不过笔译确实是非常的累。

但应用文体翻译实用性较强，只要是经过专业训练、既有专业又懂外语的“复合型”和“高端”人才会更受用人单位青睐。

毕业生一般去向是翻译公司或就职于外贸部门、培训机构、报社编辑、大型企业、跨国企业、高校的翻译教学工作的机构。

三、应用文体翻译者的素质要求。

1）应用文体翻译应该保证读者得到准确的信息，达到预期的交际效果。

广告的功能是唤起读者的兴趣，它的翻译须以读者为中心，迎合译语读者的文化取向，采用对他们有感召力的语言。

因此，广告翻译中出现大段增删、改写也是不足为奇的。

法律文献和商业文件的翻译都需要一定的跨学科知识，即双语知识加有关行业的知识。

这在翻译操作这一层面上反映了翻译的跨学科性质。

2）注重团队精神，并做到诚信（不可以向外人透露公司或个人的一些材料）；3）用人单位对译员的对于各种办公软件操作熟练程度会有要求，因此这也是一门必修课以及1-2年（或更多）的工作经验，笔译证书对于一些公司也是必不可少的； 4）扎实的英汉双语语言功底，跨文化交际意识。

掌握一些各学科知识，这样才能顺利应付诸如像商务信函的翻译过程中出现的各种形式的术语词汇及习惯表达的含义和固定译法等。

英语信函的翻译方法
鉴于英语信函格式和语言上的特点，翻译时也需要有相应的要求，一般有以下四个方面，或称 ABCD四字诀。
（1）、A代表准确（Accuracy）

外交公函一般要求有信端。在信端内要求写上发文机关名称、地址和日期。如果收文单位知道其名称和地址，可免写，仅在信端上写上发函日期。其次注意称呼用语。外交公函的称呼与其他信函不同，有其固定的用语，是对象而定。常用的有“Excellency （Excellencies）”、“Your Excellency（Excellencies）”、“Your Excellency Mr President”、“ Your Excellencies Messrs.（Ministers）”等。这一类称呼一般用于总统、总理、大使、部长、公使、特别代表等重要人物，以表示尊敬。翻译时可相对应地译成“阁下”、“总统先生阁下”、“部长先生阁下们”等。而对于国王、王后的称呼则为“Your Majesty King”，“Your Majesty King and Queen”，译成“国王陛下”、”王国和王后陛下”。“Your Highness Prince”，“Your Highness Princesses”是对亲王、王子、公主等的称呼，相对应的译语为“亲王殿下”、“公主殿下们”。翻译时必须仔细，切不可张冠李戴。外交公函中收信人的姓名、头衔、地址不像其他信函放在信的左上角，而是写在信的左下角，比签名一项的末行低一至二行。因此，在翻译外交公函时，在格式上也要相应的做些变动。把信右上角的日期移至签名的下端，而把原函左下角收信人的姓名、头衔和称呼用语合并在一起，放在信端，不需分行，如上例所示，译成“××国驻中华人民共和国特命全权公使××先生阁下”。外交公函属非常正式的文体，为了体现正规问题的特征，翻译时用词需非常谨慎、考究，如原公函的开头语和结束句句式都很正规：“I have the honour to inform Your Excellency…”，“I avail myself……“译成汉语时，也需要使用正式的外交语言：“兹特荣幸地通知阁下”、“顺致，崇高敬意”。此外，外交公函句式均较复杂冗长。在翻译这样的长句时，应根据汉语的表达习惯，把长句译成几个断句。译文甚至将原句中“Which have all along existed between our two countries”这个定语从句概括成“传统”两字。再如译“I am looking forward to closer cordial relations…”这一句时，译者有意识作了词性上的变动，把原来的名词词组改成为动词词组，译成“我盼望我们……的友好关系日益亲善，这样的译文不仅通顺，语言也简洁庄重了得多。
