I used two objects: an apple and a bar of chocolate to let thestudents realize what we will talk about in the lesson easily. “I like eating apples”is to tell the Ss what the good habit is like, “I don’t like to eat chocolates, because it is bad for my teeth.” The Ss can know clearly what the bad habits will be like.They also can guess what will learn in this lesson. A good beginning is half done!2. A colorful blackboard design. In order to make the Ss’hand-writing more andmore beautiful, I draw lines for them and set a good example for them. Lots of students will imitate my standard hand-writing.3.The groups were used frequently; the students helped each other and reflect thespirit of cooperation.4.Encourage the shy students to show themselves to build up their confidence.5.PK was used in this lesson, I divided the Ss into two groups, one group just saythe “good habits’, the other say “bad habits”, if I say “good habit”one of group one will stand up and tell me as quickly as they can. If I say “bad habit”, one of group two will answer me quickly. If who speaks slowly, that group will lose.Their competition is very intense, it is really hard to know which group is better. Disadvantages:1.Because our class was recorded all the time, at the very beginning, I was a littlenervous, so were the students. We didn’t relax ourselves in a short time.2.Because the time was limited, each presentation I just asked three students or threegroups to show off, some groups had no opportunities to show themselves. I should give then more chances to speak out, because they are the master of a lesson, not someone else.3.The hand-writing is not beautiful, even though I spent too much time onblackboard design, the blackboard was not as good as I expected. I must practice my hand-writing and set a good example for my students.4.Considering the time, I designed few exercises for the students, they finished themquickly beyond my expectation. I should give the students more exercises to practice.5.Some students are still too shy to speak in public, I should think of some goodways to arouse their initiative to make everyone be brave and confident.6.The competition is a good way to attract the Ss’ eyes, I should do some researchin developing competition mechanism.。
