(3)英语介词的兼类现象十分突出所谓介词的兼类现象即介词同时兼有几种词性，许多介词同时又是副词、连词、形容词甚至动词。

例如：①it never rainsbut it pours.句中but是连词。

②we go to school every day butsunday.句中but是介词。

2、汉语介词的特性(1)汉语介词的动词性汉语介词多由动词演变而来，因此其动词性更为突出。

除少数如“于”“对于”“至于”等已完全质变为介词外，多数汉语介词均同时保留有动词的特性，即在一种情况下是动词，但在另一种情况下则是介词。

如：“他在济南”“他住在济南”这两例中，第一句中“在”是动词，第二句中“在”是介词。
