现有的企业对外宣传文本,大多倾向于直接将汉语一字一句直译为英文。
这样的译文中,常常充斥着对于英语读者无效的信息,影响宣传效果,甚至会产生负面的影响。
本文将从对外宣传文本的主题信息性质的分类及信息价值,探讨这类文本的翻译策略。
2企业对外宣传文本的信息性质分类对企业对外宣传文本的翻译要上升到理性认识,必须先对这类文本中的信息性质加以定性概括,并考察不同性质的信息应有的信息传达度,即译者基于对信息价值度的判断及其信息量的译介程度(曾利沙,2005),从而指导译者在翻译过程中不断检验提升。
企业对外宣传文本的信息性质可以分为事实性信息、描述性信息、评价性信息、召唤性信息及美学信息(曾利沙,2005)。
事实性信息属于文本的基本信息,一般用于介绍具体某公司的基本情况,经营状况等。
这类信息文字表述一般较为客观,信息传达度相对来说是最大的。
描述性信息通常是对基本信息进行更加详细的描述。
这类信息文字表述能客观地反映具体情况,但中文措辞略带夸张。
评价性信息一般用于对某公司的产品、服务、经营状况等做出评价。

1企业外宣的特点企业介绍传递的信息一般包括:企业的名称、性质、企业宗旨、企业经营范围、企业所获成就与业绩、企业文化、企业发展目标等。
企业宣传文本与其他应用文本一样,具有相对固定的带有本民族文化特色的语言表达和结构形式。
因此英汉企业外宣文本在语言表达和结构上存在着比较大的差异。
在做企业外宣翻译时也必须考虑到中英文表达的差异。
1.1汉语企业外宣文本特点从文本内容来看,汉语文本往往长篇大论,大量使用概念性或空洞夸张的套话,如“历史悠久、全球领先、名副其实、广泛欢迎,做世界一流企业,实现从优秀到卓越的新跨越”等,并且习惯罗列权威机构认证以及在国内外获得的各种奖项等,但这类认证和奖项并不为西方公众所认知,在对外宣传中意义不大。
