Yunggang Grottoes is located in the north cliff of Wuzhoushan Mountain in west suburb of Datong city. The grotto was excavated by depending on the mountain and stretches for 1km from east to west. Now remain 45 grottoes and in the whole grotto group are more than 1100 big and small statues of Buddha, The whole grotto group is divided into 3 parts, i.e. east part, middle part and west part. In the grottoes of the east part are mainly Buddha pagodas, also called pagoda cave. The basic situation of Shanxi
Shanxi is a province of the People's Republic of China located in the northern part of the country. It borders Hebei to the east, Henan to the south, Shanxi to the west, and Inner Mongolia to the north. The provincial capital city is Taiyuan. Shanxi is endowed with an abundance of cultural sites from its long history. Most of the ancient structures were built before the Liao and Song Dynasties. So it is the reason why Shanxi is often called the 'Chinese Ancient Architecture Museum'. The more obvious of these include: the Buddhist wonder of the Yungang Grottoes in Datong City, the Ancient City of Pingyao which was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO(United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization联 合国教科文组织) in 1997.

Mount Wutai
Mount wutai is located in Xinzhou city, Wutai country, Shanxi province. It is one of four major buddhist mountain in china( Mount Wutai (Shanxi Province), Mount Ermei (Sichuan Province), Mount Jiuhua (Anhui Province) and Mount Putuo (Zejiang Province) )and one of five famous major buddhist holy places. Mount wutai is majestic and is surrounded by a circumference of 250 square kilometer, with a total area of 600 square kilometer. It is consist of five peaks. They are East Wanghai Peak, West Guayue Peak, South Jinxiu Peak, North Yedou Peak and Middle Cuiyan Peak. Mount wutai is one of the earliest places to build Buddhist temple in China. Since the eastern han (58～ 75)years, the ancient temples built with magnificent pagoda and temples. All of those are the ancient architecture and cultural resources.
Dragon head(龙抬头） According to legend, the second day of lunar February is a day that everything come back to life ,we called this day “dragon head”. In shanxi, people are used to cut hair on this day. Haishijie(寒食节 ) The day before the Qingming festival, jinzhong area of people, every family no fire, this day eating cold food , in order to remember Jiezitui .Locals called this day “HanShiJie ". Shehuo(社火) On Lantern Festiyal,people will Take floats(搭彩车)、Hang lantern(挂 彩灯)and perform all kinds of Street art performance(街头表演)like Hanchuan、Yage and so on.
What’s more ,I think Shanxi was famous for Traders and Shanxi exchange(晋商和山西票号）.There were many ancient buildings witnessed of Shanxi economy thriving.

Shanxi’s noodles with a long history . According to check, there are about 280 kind of noodles. They are not only tasty, but also have many special meanings. I think Shanxi ’people are so hardworking and smart that they created lots of noodles. If you want to eat these delicious noodles, I will be very happy to be a hostess .Finally, I want to say, my hometown is not as developed as Shanghai , also her scenery can’t compare with Hainan’ s. But I just like her peaceful and slow-rhythm lifestyle, it make me feel comfortable and free.
