完成日期 2015年06月20 日 There is no doubt that every country has its own unique culture.Absolutely the majority of people of one country share many things in common.These cultures must have deep-rooted influence on people’s perceptions.After watching the film The Treatment, I am greatly touched about cultural difference affecting everyone.Next I will tell something about China’s culture influence on perception. We share common behaviors liken the face culture behavior in China.I think it is of no value for us to sacrifice some important things to protect our face.Because it is just seen from the outside, other people will not receive it from the bottom of their heart. In the film, Xu Datong is a successful computer program designer.On the award ceremony, his son Daniel hit his boss’s son.He forced his son to apologize to the boy.But on the contrary his son did not.Finally he slapped Daniel out of the so-called face culture.But his boss and even every American can not understand this behavior.This is because the difference of our own perception.Xu has been influenced by traditional Chinese habitat.He punished his son to show respect to his boss while the boss misunderstood it and thought that he abuse the child. Also we share the same knowledge. Every country has its own masterpiece which may not be understood by other nation’s people.Surely, Chinese has a deep love to the journey to west, considering the monkey king omnipotent.While in America, some people believe it violent.In the film, Xu designs his program by the model of the monkey king and has well received.Unfortunately, this was misused by the defender causing them to lose a lawsuit.But everyone in China is praise highly the spirit of the monkey king who has sense of justice and fights to the force of evil.Sowe’d better treat other culture in a open mind without strong personal emotions. Even we share some values.It may have been influenced in the long term.So we can not change it right now. It is agreed that people in China have relative concealment in all ages, which is influenced by the traditional Confucian culture.People would tell a lie to protect their family from being punished.There is an old saying that Father son for hidden shield kinsfolk's crime.In the film, Xu takes the responsibility for his father’s treatment to his son because he wants to get his father’s green card.While for American, everyone is an equal individual ,they will not do what Chinese do.But to modern people, they may be do like American. We may be have some beliefs in common influenced by the deep-rooted filial piety culture.It is a basic code of ethic in the Chinese society.In China’s history, we have many typical examples but they all say the same exact thing:treat our family with filial piety.If you are not filial, people around you will criticize and make bad comments to you.As a result, you will be in a disrepute which is harmful to your future to some extent.But most important is that the parents will be happy and blessed.Everyone must have heard the story about GuoJuBuried.In the film, when Xu’s wife was in the difficult labour, he spoke to doctor that to rescue the mother firstly if necessary and to protectthe fetus if possible.This often happened in China and I think people will make the same choice as Xu. As we all known, traditional Chinese medicine is healthy for our body’s balance and it has a long history.But foreign scientists seem to not acknowledge its effect. In the people’s daily life, some diseases can be cured by eating Chinese medicine without having an operation.The scraping therapy has the advantage of convenient manipulation and no side-effect.And it has good prospect of clinical application.It is commonly used by every people to treat themselves.In the film, Xu’s father scrap the son’s back to treat the indisposition for being blind to read the instructions on the pill.So the son’s back has some red scratches which become a evidence to the defender to say the abuse of child.Finally Xu’s defender know the truth by experiencing the treatment and knowing it of little pain.So the defender helped Xu to bring the right of the child’s custody back.How risky to live in America by misunderstanding. Every country has its own culture, we should respect the diversity of culture no matter what reasons.Chinese culture has its merits and demerits, we should look the influence of perception in a right way.Like Xu, we should promote the advantages of traditions to inherit the good values in journey to west.And we’d better abandon the bad things in Chinese culture like the face culture.
