Teaching plan
I.Teaching objectives
1. Language objectives: help the students master the important words, phrases
and new grammar.
2 Ability objectives: enable the students the students to write a passage to
introduce their favorite painters or paintings.
3. Moral and cultural objectives: the students should know more knowledge
and appreciate paintings and to refine their minds with beautiful paintings.
II. Important points and difficult points
The important points: After learn the lesson, the students should be able to
understand some passages or reading sources on fine arts and acquire information
from them. I think this is the important point of this lesson.
The difficult points: how to write a passage to introduce your favorite paintings or
painters.
III. Teaching methods

IV. Teaching aids: slide and recorder
V. Teaching procedures.
1. Step one: leading in
Show some paintings to the students and ask students what do they know about the
paintings?” and give some information about the paintings to the students to lead in
this lesson. (5minutes).
2. Step two: word study
In order to better understand the words and have a deep impression of them, I will
show some sentences containing the new words and ask students to guess the meaning
of the new words. After that, I will explain them in detail. (7 minutes).
3. Step three: intensive reading and explaining.
Firstly, I will play the recorder to let the students listen the text for one time. The
students should try to understand the general idea of the text.
Secondly, I will list some questions about the text and let the students have a
careful reading to find the answer of those questions.
Thirdly, explain the text in detail. While explaining, pay more attention to explain
the development and structure of the text and review the old grammar in order to
fulfill the important point’s task. During the process, I will ask students to translate some important complex sentences or conclude the main idea of some paragraphs (18
minutes).
4. Step four: grammar
In this process, I will explain the new grammar. I think to better understand the
grammar, abundant examples are very useful. So I will set typical example sentences
as much as possible. And in order to test the students do understand or not. I will ask
students to give me some examples. (10 minutes).
5. Talk and express process
Working in pairs to talk about painters or paintings that you know. And change your
ideas with your partners. (5 minutes).
6. Review and home assignment
Review the important points of this lesson. (2 minutes)
Home assignment:
1. Recite the new words and review the new grammar.
2. Surf the Internet to find more information about your favorite paintings or
painters, and write a passage.
3. To find more beautiful paintings, and share them with your classmates.
