A Lesson

Once I thought I was a very careful and prudent person, which I

even took pride in; however, there was a thing subverting this thought.

It was a real sunny day. Everything around me seemed to be kind

and great. All kinds of flowers have burst into bloom; trees and the

grass have grown green. I was in the mood before everything changed,

having classes, talking with friends happily, and doing exercises of

computer second-level which I spent much money and time hoping to

pass it this term.

Life is like the drama, and anything is possible. I did not realize

that I had mistaken the time of the exam until I went to the

examination hall. There was nobody! Then I checked my admission

ticket finding that I ought to take the exam the day before that day.

The minute I found the truth my feelings were complicated, but

regrets came the first. I thought I could not be more stupid and careless,

and one thing I most wanted to do was to travel in the time and return

to the right time to take the exam.

After accepting the truth, I felt upset and everything seemed to be

grey and be laughing at me that how stupid I was.

Thinking over and over again, I make it clear that everyone is a

human, not a saint, and making mistakes is unavoidable. After being

stupid what we most need to do is to learn a lesson and be smarter next time rather than to feel sorry about it but do noting. The most

important lesson I have learnt is that “a fall into a pit, a gain in your

wit”.
