【学法指导】

►worth

作形容词,意为“值得;有„„价值的”,与be构成系表结构,常在句中作表语。后可接名词、代词、数字或动词­ing形式。如:

The zoo is worth a visit.

这家动物园值得参观。

This watch is worth $ 30.

This book is worth reading.

这本书值得一读。

(1)be supposed to do的用法:

①意为“应该做某事”,用来表示劝告、建议、义务、责任等。

►take off

意为“脱下”,其反义词组为put on(穿上)。它还可以表示“(飞机等)起飞”。如:

It's too hot outside.Why not take off your coat?

外面太热了。为什么不脱掉你的外套呢?

The plane will take off at 10:00 p.m.

飞机将在晚上10点起飞。

☞学习提示

(1)要求学生朗读并翻译P76 Grammar Focus表格中的句子。并在be supposed to,is impolite to等下面画线,并说出它们分别代表什么句式和语法内容。

(2)教师指导学生完成4a和4b的练习,并组织学生核对答案,解决疑难。

(3)要求学生结合所学句型,归纳总结be supposed to和It is+形容词+for sb.to do sth.的基本用法。

【备注】

3 ②意为“本应做某事”,用来表示某事本应该发生而实际并没有发生。

③意为“被相信做某事”,用来表示某事被认为是真实的,尽管可能不是事实。

(2) It__is+形容词+for__sb.to__do__sth.意为“对某人来说做某事是„„的”。在此句型中,it是形式主语,后面的动词不定式是真正的主语。

你能结合be supposed to do和It is+形容词+for sb.to do sth.的用法,根据汉语意思完成下列句子吗?
