In college you have to do a lot more decision making for yourself, and put forth a lot more
initiative to get things done. If you attend a large university, your professor won't make any effort
to know you, so it's up to you to make a favorable impression. You have to seek them out.
Living with a roommate in a dorm has to be the hardest thing I've encountered (面对). Even your
coolest friends will turn out to be inconsiderate if you live with them. My advice — live with
someone you don't know. That's what I did, and it made life a lot easier knowing that if we got into
an argument, it wouldn't affect our friendship, since we had none coming into this.
