Step1 Presentation:

Do you like animals? What animals do you know? Let’s do a

guessing game. Read the sentences and tell me the names of the

animals.

1) They like bears, but with black and white fur. They like eating

bamboo shoots and leaves very much. They live only in China.

2) They are lovely and clever animals in the sea. They like

swimming in groups. They are very friendly to people.

3) They come from Australia. They jump with their babies in their

special pockets.

very heavy. They have long noses.

Step3. Comic strips

1) Questions: Where did Linda go with Kitty and her classmates?

What’s in the park? How many places of interest are there in the

park? If you have a chance to go there, what will you visit first? ( I

will visit … I want to go climbing because I am a little fat. )

2) Talk about the picture: What do you think about Eddie? Is he

fat? If he wants to keep slim, what will he do? What’s this?

( Meat. ) Is it delicious? Does it look delicious? What does Hobo

want to do? Is Eddie willing to share the food with Hobo? If

Hobo eats the food, what will happen?

3）Fill in the blanks

It doesn’t like moving.

7) It is a kind of horse. It has black and white lines all over its

body.

8) It is very small. It has a very good smell. It likes eating sweet

food.

9) It is a large and white animal. It lives in the coldest area in the

world.

10) This kind of animal belongs to the cat family. It lives in Africa.
